It’s very cosy and warm atmosphere.

There was quite a bit of dust on shelves and above the AC. I think it’s easy to miss but maybe it would be nice to remove it and it would be perfect.

I loved being able to stay in a traditional Japanese home, instead of a hotel. When I travel I always try to find accommodations that are unique to the area I am in, and this fit the bill to a T. The house was close to public transit, it had enough beds to sleep 6 people, yet there were just 3 of us. It had cooking facilities as well as laundry. If I had found this place sooner I’d have booked it for several nights so I could explore Kyoto at a more leisurely pace. The owner left clear instruction in her email as to check in procedures and the house rules, and how to access the key.

It was all good, no complaints.

If you want a place to stay that has a traditional atmosphere it is a good choice.

Thebathroom area is outside and it was a horrible experience to go to the bathroom or shower and then go into that cold. We also received only one towel per person for three days.
