About this house rental
“Home is where the heart is.” Footprints in the Sand is a beautifully cared for Victorian-style home that lies in the most ideal location: just two blocks away from South Haven's many shops and restaurants but still in a quiet residential neighborhood. The bright green exterior with unique wrap-around front porch is sure to make you feel like you’re on vacation from the minute you arrive. Furthermore, the house is within a mile of the shores of North Beach - a staple point of South Haven. This makes it possible to enjoy the home, town, beach and amazing sunsets all within your stay!
This spacious home has a functional floor plan with vintage charm for family and friends looking to create lasting memories. The interior décor has a nautical theme, original moldings, hardwood floors and antique furniture pieces. Upon entering the open concept living/dining room, the front windows bring in natural light overlooking the porch and peaceful tree-lined neighborhood street. The renovated kitchen is great for putting meals together and leads to a two-level deck and private back yard, perfect for entertaining. There are four large bedrooms to comfortably sleep up to 10 guests and two full updated bathrooms. The first-floor bedroom has a queen-sized bed, walk-in closet and on-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. Two of the upstairs bedrooms have queen-sized beds and the third bedroom has a twin/full bunk bed and separate twin bed. A second cozy family room area is outside of the upstairs bedrooms for another space to watch tv and unwind. Other amenities of the house include a large outdoor gas grill, central air conditioning/heating, washer/dryer (bring your own detergent) and ample off-street and on-street parking.
Activity options are endless to make your vacation a memorable one: biking or hiking on the Kal-Haven Trail, gathering for a relaxing beach day, visiting the Maritime Museum, taking boat rides or watching boats at the marina, going between the splashpad and playgrounds while stopping for an ice cream, enjoying local breweries/wineries, and having one-on-one or entire family/friend time while hanging out for a backyard barbeque. This is just the beginning of what this picturesque Lake Michigan town has to offer. Multiple stores including Meijer, Aldi, Walmart, Dollar Tree and Menards are also down the street for anything you need to pick up.
Our home is available to responsible and respectful groups only. We do not rent to guests looking to have a place to party. If you are a group looking to rent a party house, please do not send us an inquiry. We appreciate your understanding and respect of this policy. Minimum 2-night stay, except for peak season (late-June to mid-August) when weekly rentals only apply (Sunday to Sunday).

Very nice property, lots of space for everyone, comfortable and quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed the porch and deck, and not too far from town or beaches! Dykman beach was great!

Check-in was flawless. Kitchen facilities were sufficient. WiFi was better than my home. Walking distance to downtown and pier. Walking distance to beach, but easier to buy week pass and park right at beach. Owner was very communicative and helpful.

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful home with our family of 8! The house was spotless with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. My parents especially loved relaxing on the front porch every day and our kids loved playing on the back deck. I was able to lounge and soak in some well-needed vitamin D while they ran around. The common areas were perfect for gathering together. The location was convenient to getting downtown or to Meijer for grocery runs yet on a very peaceful street, making it a great home base for our trip. Property manager was very responsive and kind.We couldn’t have asked for a better place—highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

The property is very clean, comfortable & updated. We especially liked the wraparound front porch & roomy back porch. The neighborhood is very comfortable with lots of shade. Also appreciated the convenience of downtown & the water. It's a very walkable distance from the property. Would definitely stay here again!
