The Crooked House Alfama is the perfect place to discover Lisbon.
In this lovely apartment we offer a true experience typical of Alfama. With a vintage touch that seeks the singularity of Portuguese culture, The Crooked House aims to showcase the native culture and way of life.
The apartment has a bedroom with a very comfortable double bed. It has a fully equipped kitchen. It is perfect for a couple.
The apartment is on the 1st floor. You will have access to the entire house and all amenities including cable TV, wireless internet and all cooking utensils: stove, refrigerator, washing machine, coffee machine and microwave.
Alfama is one of the houses of fado and you can find restaurants and bars with fado music live anywhere you go. There are many Portuguese handicraft shops and art galleries nearby small grocery stores and nice and inexpensive restaurants where you can try sardines (best way until April), cod, ginja and other Portuguese specialties. Central to the neighborhood and next to my street is the Fado Museum and just down the street you have a street fair selling all sorts of things, including antiques on Tuesdays and Saturdays. It is called the Flea Market. Since the neighborhood is very old, you can explore the maze of small alies and narrow streets and find public lavatories where the ladies still wash their clothes in stone tanks.
The house is 300 meters from Santa Apolonia metro, train and bus station. You can also take a taxi there. In relation to the airport, it is a 10 to 15 minute taxi ride.

A bit quirky, but convenient to the Metro, taxis, and a bus line. We parked in the cruise terminal parking area which is about a 10-15 minute walk. Do not trust google to give you the best route...it is not necessary to climb any stairs. Cross to the Metro/train station and walk up the main drag before turning up into the Alfama district.

This house was located around great restaurants, shops and close to most attractions and popular spots. The check in was perfect, and communication with the hosts was great.

Started out a bit confusing on how to get to the house but we made it with help. Getting access to the house was super easy and we were greated by a pretty apartment. The french doors looking out the street were wonderful. Not just for the cool air but view of the street as well. It is a truly crooked house with dips and sways in the floor! You have to be a bit careful were you walk.The kitchen and bathrooms were functional. Overall we would definitely stay here again!

Rafaela and Sandra were great! The location and check-in of this apartment could not have been better! I found everything I needed within a block or 2. Communication and check-in were flawless. The apartment was quirky and the Fado bar across the street was an unexpected treasure! I will book again! Thank you
