About this house rental
Welcome to Emerald Ocean in Nags Head located within the Gallery Row Arts District at Oceanfront at MilePost 10.1! We are walking distance to Red Drum, Mahi Mahi's Island Grill and Booty Treats Ice Cream as well as a few more restaurants. Also, there is a Food Lion within walking distance about a half mile or so.
Emerald Ocean offers you the serenity of the ocean in your backyard. Great ocean breezes make Emerald Ocean an amazing place to spend your vacation. Step out on the beach, watch beautiful sunrises over the Atlantic Ocean, spend your days on the beach soaking up the sun, and cooling off with a dip in the ocean or your own private pool.
At Emerald Ocean, we have the perfect ending to a perfect day listening to the sound of the waves while relaxing in the hot tub on the deck. Make memories that will last a lifetime!
This delightful oceanfront rental home offers excellent modern amenities. Located directly on the beach with 6 bedrooms, 5 and 1/2 baths, private pool, hot tub, modern kitchen, and enclosed outside shower. Other amenities include washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, central heat and air, cable television in each room, gas grill, sun deck, outside shower and ceiling fans.
Please note that our pool is not heated as this is a popular question asked.
Private deck- walkway to the beach. There are 10-12 beach chairs, a few small umbrellas, cooler, sand and beach toys, a few infant life vests, as well a horse shoe set.
No pets and non-smoking home. Kitchen is fully loaded with all necessary cooking supplies. We have 2 Cuisinart coffee makers and 1 Keurig maker.
In addition, the house includes a pack-n-play for infants (not allowed to be taken to the beach please!), toddler toys, 2 baby gates, a highchair, booster seat, a jogging stroller, lots of board games for the family to enjoy and many movies for entertainment. Basketball hoop for the sports fans.

We had a very nice week at Emerald Ocean. The location is excellent, with direct beach access, great ocean views, and easy access to nearby restaurants and stores. The house worked well for our family, and we appreciated that it was stocked with plenty of towels, beach chairs, pool toys, games, and other items that made the stay easier.The owners were also responsive. The house was clean when we arrived, and overall it had what we needed for a comfortable beach vacation.The property could benefit from some updates and renovation, especially on the exterior. Some areas feel worn and would benefit from refreshment. That said, the location, amenities, and responsiveness of the owners made it a very good stay overall.

This was a great house for a week at the beach.

Owner was responsive. Responded immediately. Upon first arriving we were excited. But as time went on we kept hitting road blocks with home. Lower level full bathroom was locked and not cleaned. When called to let owner know she told us to get a lock set to try to unlock ourselves. Once gaining access it wasn’t cleaned from previous occupants. We had to clean shower head because only two streams came out. Daughter and babies had to shower in outside shower all week. Owner controls air conditioner from their location. Fought with thermostat for good hour to figure out how to turn down. Leftover old vomit on a chair in living room to which I discovered after smelling my clothes and hand. Only to be told by owner a family from 2 visits ago destroyed their house. That’s not very comforting…… Excited to go for a bike ride with the hubby…. Nope… one of the tires was blown out. Owner was aware and never made proper arrangements to repair. Told us to throw it in our truck and get it repaired. She would Venmo us. This definitely was not our responsibility. Dishes in cabinets were found randomly dirty. Pool needs cosmetic attention. Deck was very old and scaring going down. Uneven steps that were randomly repaired. Couldn’t beat proximity to beach. That was the only plus for us.
