About this villa rental
Villa Artemis is the ideal place for a relaxing holiday in direct contact with nature, an excellent starting point for excursions to the major tourist destinations on the island.
In less than an hour's drive it is possible to reach the beautiful Malabotta Forest with its enchanting paths and the spectacular Rocche dell'Argimusco, also passing through Montalbano Elicona, elected the most beautiful village in Italy in 2015. For wine lovers it is possible to visit the major Sicilian wineries along the wine route, on the slopes of Etna, which leads to Randazzo, a medieval village, with its countless churches and the characteristic Sunday market. and then take a walk inside the Sciarone Park. Just 5 minutes by car you can visit the Alcantara Gorges with its river with freezing waters even in August and do various activities including body rafting, trekking, etc. Taormina, the pearl of the Ionian Sea, is only 12km away, the beaches of Giardini Naxos 7km.
Located in a hilly and panoramic area, surrounded by a garden of olive and citrus trees, the villa is equipped with all comforts, has two air-conditioned bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with two single beds which can become a double bed on request. Two double sofa beds are available in the two air-conditioned living rooms, one on the ground floor, the other on the first floor. The villa is also equipped with a built-in kitchen on the ground floor and another larger kitchen, also made of brick, which is located in a gazebo closed by glass on the first floor level with a panoramic terrace. All the rooms are air conditioned, with the exception of the bathrooms, and the windows are equipped with mosquito nets >. Outside, large panoramic spaces, barbecue area and parking. It is also specified that the villa is totally available to guests, for greater privacy and there are no common areas, neither with the owner nor with other guests. With the exception of August, we accept minimum stays of 3 nights.
The swimming pool is normally open from June to September.

To reach the villa from the state road you need to take a private asphalted and illuminated road about 400 meters uphill. We do not recommend using vans or minivans.
A car is required for travel.

Stayed here with family for 4 nights. Simply amazing villa with so many cool things. A tad rustic in some ways but it’s really part of the charm of the property. Our host was super friendly and helpful and even took us for dinner and groceries upon arrival. The drive to the property is a bit tricky and takes some getting used to, but adds to the experience and charm. I can not wait to come back to this property.

The location is absolutely stunning: you can see the Mediterranean Sea and Etna from your balcony. Very quiet and peaceful neighbourhood and our hosts were one minute walk away.
They made us feel so welcome, even invited us to their own home and shared their home produced, wonderful red wine. Francesco has brought us a wonderful cake, gave us eggs (he has a few chickens and rabbits). Giovanna and Francesco both gave us accurate and very helpful information, so we could enjoy everything Sicily offers - amazing local market, cultural and architectural highlights, the best beaches and even a local running trail in the pine forest of Graniti. Francesco and Giovanna have been the best hosts. We highly recommend their villa if you want to have the perfect base to explore Sicily. The air conditioning, the pool, well kitted out kitchen all helped to make or stay a beautiful holiday.

Die Gastgeber habe uns mit tollen Tipps (Pizza und Arrancini in Gaggi) und eigenem Wein (sehr gut) versorgt .

Brilliant week and friendly hosts.Positives: -Sitting outside watching smoke from EtnaRiver canyon park just up the roadFriendly, helpful hostsNegatives: -I wouldnt fancy driving up the road to the property in winter months. Its fine in Summer once you realise that you need to go up in first gear with you foot down to the floor.
