Beautiful clean rooms. Tropical oasis

Great location in Candidasa. Our room was beautiful. Staff were friendly. The spa was great too.

There is currently building work taking place along the whole beachfront in Candidasa, which will take 2 years to complete. The diggers started work everyday at 8am until 6pm, and this did unfortunately ruin our experience. The diggers woke us up every morning and didn’t use the pool as the view was of building work. Of course not the fault of the hotel, but i do think they could have let us know before hand.

Little family holiday.

It is secluded, quiet, beautifully surrounded by plants. Pool is great. Nice ocean views. Restaurant serves delicious food!

The fridge in room 108 does not work. I did report it and asked for someone to have a look. One person did look, said he'd be back later that day, but he did not return. Not great when I had fresh milk for my cup of tea. But that's the only issue.

There is construction of a sea wall which needs to be done and when finished will definitely enhance the stay. The noise didn't bother us but there were guests who were upset.

A very fortuitous find providing the perfect stay to rest.

A beautiful hideaway with such polite staff. I loved everything about it. I recommend the spa for massage and treatments which is beautifully designed. The room and outdoor bathroom was perfect and restful. The view from pool and bar area was great, after checking out other villas and resorts, felt I’d been lucky enough to find the best of the pick.

Sea wall project, no access to beach til job completed.

Very friendly staff and small hotel.

The property is small and intimate on the ocean front. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The government is doing work on the seaside wall so there was a bit of noise but it did not disturb us too much. The staff’s friendliness made up for it. We would definitely return once the sea wall is completed.

We have never stayed here before and bookings.com offered different room types from just Alam Room to Ocean front rooms. We payed the extra $20 AUD a night to get Ocean front to arrive and realise there is NO ocean front rooms. All of the rooms are exactly the same and run along side each other and face each other. The restaurant and pool sit on the ocean front. So don’t book ocean front room. Very disappointing and misleading from bookings.com and the Hotel. We did not even get a room close to the entry to the restaurant. So don’t make the same mistake and I hope the hotel address’s this with bookings.com

Pleasant surroundings but very noisy construction site.

Nicely set out. Staff very attentive.

Couldn’t get to the beach due to construction which we weren’t told about before we arrived. 5 kilometres of coastline being built up with enormous rocks to avoid high tides and erosion. Upon arrival we were told about the construction which was really noisy and one night they worked all night. I would have not chosen this area had I known about the construction.

This was the perfect place to stay in Bali. It was inexpensive but felt like a million bucks!

The property was perfect! We loved our suite and were in walking distance to shops and hotels. It could not have been better! We were a group of 5 couples and loved the intimacy of having everything close, especially the pool and restaurant. The bathrooms were a huge hit for everyone and we loved the water walkways and the thick vegetation. The staff was outstanding!

Only that we didn't stay longer! Would love to return and stay for 10 days!

A slice of paradise

This place was very calm, and truely a small slice of paradise! The staff were accommodating and even let us customise a fruit platter to just include pineapple with requested salt/chilli. We were able to ask the reception to arrange snorkelling, and a cooking class onsite. They even let us borrow sarong's to climb the massive staircase to visit the temple during village celebrations. We asked for a driver from the airport who was super friendly and so accommodating that we used them as a guide for our other day trips and accommodation transfers. The spa had great selections, and was highly utilised as the staff were kind and professional. We even had staff collect the frangipani's and leave them by the walkway into each person's accommodation which was really sweet. Highly recommend and will be back next time we're in the area!

Fabulous find

Such a lovely quiet, clean resort. Good size rooms, outside but undercover bathrooms. Good size pool, great restaurant and lovely spa. Very convenient to shops and restaurants

Loved everything, however for the next few months it may be a bit noisy with the Candidasa beautification project making its way along the beach at the front of the resorts.

Calm, relaxing place in Candi Dasa

Nice place, very pretty, the restaurant that belongs to the hotel was also good with the view of the sea. The staff was exceptionally kind. Very clean, comfy bed. The bathroom is half-outside, so frogs and geckos can come there - they don't bother me. It was very calm there, far from the street. There was a hair conditioner and a hair dryer.

The decorative pillow was dirty on the bottom. The AC was quite old and it was cooling a little too well or not at all, so I had to manage it at night.

Salt Resort is a wonderful place to stay to experience the beauty of Amed

Had a wonderful view of pool and ocean from my room and patio area. Breakfasts were delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful Snorkeling out the front of Resort is not full of coral but we did see a turtle

At night the noise from the nearby main road was very loud. Ear plugs were provided so it is a known issue.

Beautiful resort where I can relax and chill, can’t wait to go back!

This is my second trip and I still love staying here. The villas are close but private with spacious outdoor bathrooms which are a wonderful experience, especially with all the lovely towels & face clothes. The view is fabulous from the pool and restaurant. Only a few villas so not over crowded and no children, very peaceful and relaxing place to stay. The staff are exceptional attentive.

Perfect quiet place

The bungalows and the whole accomodation had a very good impression on us, really nice buildings and area, a bit of balinese feeling. Perfectly located, really quiet, even at night. Every room has a small terrace, the room and the bathroom are spotlessly clean, towels were changed every day. Very comfortable bed, baldachin is useful because of the mosquitos. Kettle, tea, coffee and bottled water are available. Staff is very attentive, burned incense sticks against mosquitos in our terrace. Nice and clean swimming pool with umbrellas and sunbeds. The possibility of swimming is significantly influenced by the tide of the ocean.

The location was great, although the weather wasn’t. The staff was friendly and helpful. Property is well maintained.

The food & drink prices were quite pricy in comparison to everywhere else in Bali. Food was ok, service was a little over the top, I’m not sure what they’re training their servers for.

It was a calm and quiet short stay

The location and the view from the restaurant.

There was so many mosquitoes on the first night made me wake up a few times and the next day i was too tired to di anything. I told the staff the next morning and requested the repellent to be plugged in my room. It was fine afterwards.

Our stay at this resort was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The staff was truly amazing – warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The food at the restaurant was outstanding, with a great variety and consistently high quality. The price-performance ratio was excellent – we felt we got incredible value for the money. Our room was spotless and cleaned thoroughly every single day, which made our stay even more comfortable and relaxing. We genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’re already looking forward to coming back – this won’t be our last visit! Highly recommended.

Amazing stay (again) our only choice for accommodation in Candidasa.

The calm ambiance stepping into the property. Alam Candi is so peaceful, spotlessly clean and the staff so very friendly. We love the location and particularly the interaction we get with local fishermen each morning having coffee as they return with their catch. From sea to Alam Candi kitchen and local families gathering and trading, in front of us daily

Not so much a dislike as positives far far outweigh any negatives. The dining prices are somewhat elevated and cost not in alignment with other venues. However context, still cheap to dine compared with Australian prices.

Perfect in every way

Spotlessly clean, beautiful bungalows with gorgeous outdoors bathroom, beautiful smelling toiletries, only 12 bungalows, amazing walkway with fish swimming either side and lush plants everywhere, massage amazing, staff so friendly and attentive to every need, incredible view from the seafront pool and resto and can swim off the steps of the property.

The best place I stayed in Bali, very organised

Definitely the best hotel that I stayed at in Bali! I had such a welcoming and great 2 night stay at Alam Candi. The gentleman that checked me in and all the staff were outstanding! They showed me everything in the room, and had information leaflets about local things to do, it is a really organised place. I had a snack at the hotel restaurant one night and juice, and the sunset was incredible! There is a pool beside the restaurant. I also hired a scooter to go to Virgin Beach and the staff arranged it for me. The room is beautifully decorated with wood and stone, I would definitely stay here again, it is a great location with restaurants and shops on your door step.
