Wonderful old Portuguese guest house staffed by the kindest people in a lively location.
Lisbon Heat wave made air conditioning a necessity. We were moved to a new room when our unit started leaking.

The staff were super friendly and very helpful, always smiling and accomodating. The compact apartment was perfect for several nights and the soundproofing double shutters/doors on the windows was a fantastic system, allowing air and sun in during the day and perfect soundproofing/darkening at night for sleep. The location was perfect with lots of great restaurants & small pubs/clubs near by and an easy walk or tram to the centre of Lisboa or anywhere you want to go. We would highly recommend to anyone staying at Anjo Azul and will stay again on our next trip to Lisboa.
Wifi in the room was a bit iffy. You had to stand by the door to get good reception, perhaps a few more wifi repeaters might help.

Staff very helpful and welcoming. Air-conditioning very important as it was very hot. Mini fridge for keeping drinks cold. Very clean, room cleaned each day with new towels.
Location - lots of hills to get to the hotel when using public transport. No elevator in the hotel. Pillows need to be replaced.
