The location is exceptional, right in the heart of Bairro Alto. It's in a quiet lane just off some very busy lanes and excellent food places. The room is super tiny but the bed is comfortable, there is a small desk and the shower was good. Breakfast places across the main road are amazing. It's also walking distance from the OG bakery for the Pasteis de Nata.

The landlady was prompt in responding on WA but there is absolutely no person available onsite which is a bit unsettling for us. For example she told us that the metro would be the best option from the airport but we weren't informed that there are 20 steps to climb up and almost a km walk uphill on cobbled stones which is impossible with a suitcase. Eventually some angel showed up and took our bags up the stairs! And she did help us get a taxi for the 500 m left but the whole thing was a nightmare. We took a taxi all the way to the airport on the way back. Oh also the bathroom is just a glass partition at one end so no matter how close your relationship 😅 it's awkward. Someone needs to leave the room to give privacy.

We stayed in the private suite for 3 nights and had a great stay. The apartment was clean, cozy, and nicely decorated. The bathroom was bright, and the whole place felt welcoming and comfortable. We really enjoyed staying here. The location is excellent, with everything within walking distance. The neighborhood feels safe and has a lively atmosphere in the evenings, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Despite that, the apartment is well insulated, and once the windows are closed, you hardly hear any noise from outside. Overall, we would happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place in a great location.

One thing to keep in mind is that we stayed in the attic suite, so if you're tall, this may not be the best choice, as the sloped ceilings are quite low in some areas. We found ourselves bumping our heads a few times. The central staircase is also quite steep, so it's worth being a little careful when going up and down.

The location is very convenient, close to the center, and to a lot of restaurants and bars. The room was very clean and was cleaned every day.

Unfortunately, the room is not soundproof at all. You can hear the door opening and closing every time someone enters the building. You can hear the other guests talking through the walls and even snoring! And to add to this, there was a motor noise at random times. The 'double bed' was actually two single beds stuck together. The pillows were uncomfortable. They were worse than couch pillows, and we were waking up with neck pain.
