If you ever visit this area, this is the place to base yourself.

Excellent location, fairly easy to find. Great modern layout, exceptionally clean. Information folder on table was invaluable as we arrived late on and had no provisions with us. Pizza delivery was very welcome and delicious. Car park an added bonus, no problem finding a space. Finally the views, there are enough words to describe the beauty of this place. We were 5 mins from buses, trains or a short drive to the shops

No kettle, we are from UK, so tea is like an appendage. We made do with boiling a pan of water. Surprisingly no pizza cutter.

This view is just amazing

Fantastic view on Como Lake is just a start to a great experience. Quiet area with a lot of privacy, clean and well equipped kitchen, with friendly staff. Location allows it to go quickly to Valtellina, Tirano (start of Bernina Express), Bellagio, city of Como, etc. Great choice of places for short excursions. Note: this is a place for people traveling with a car (free parking on the estate), there is a train stopping nearby but it would not be easy get here from the station.

The stay was wonderful.

The view of the mountains and the lake were spectacular! Due to the train strike we were stranded at a station that was a 15-20 drive away from the apartment however the staff came to pick us up and ordered pizza for us to have dinner.

Nothing to do with the room or the staff however, the train strike made it difficult to get to the apartment. Thankfully the staff picked us up.

Spacious and comfortable

The view from the balcony was very beautiful, though it rained during our stay there. The apartment was large, the rooms were large and the beds were so comfortable, and there was great space for parking. There was a jacuzzi, but we didn't have time to use it, unfortunately, due to our busy schedule. The host was prompt in answering my questions and providing help to the TV issue we had.

The road to the apartment is quite steep uphill, and we arrived at night, so we found it very confusing to locate it. Make sure your tyres are good enough to climb up. Also, we were a group of five, but we were not provided with towels. We found two in the only bathroom present there, but we thought they were to be used to place on the bathroom floor after showering. Or maybe we were supposed to ask the host? Well, I didn't because I expected that we should have found them ready, and if they weren't present, it probably meant it wasn't part of the package.

Great city-break!

The apartments are very nice, big, clean, and the view out of the terrace is just amazing! If travelling by car, the location is convenient for exploring the surroundings of Como lake. Kitchen has a lot of stuff ( only bigger pot is missing).

Its not what I didnt like, but just pay attention to the location of the apartments. The road up could be quite difficult if you are not an experienced driver. Parking is also quite narrow. I managed all that safely, but I assume it could be a problem for someone.

Great views!

Incredible views of Lake Como from enormous glass doors opening onto the balcony.

Very noisy with no adherence to the “quiet hours”. Cold and impersonal. Felt like a property that was managed from afar. Parking was difficult with frequent need to rearrange vehicles. Seemed like a “party spot”.

Amazing view, apartment in need of an update

The view is great, if you're in 102 or 103. Living space very good in apartment 102. Hot tub great but additional charge and fully indoors so while you get the view from the window it's hot in there. Access to Bellamo and Varenna great from down the hill with public bus. Close to supermarket with car. Good value for money but would have paid more if more luxe inside.

The accommodation is basic and in need of some attention, quite outdated. Single beds in 2nd bedroom very uncomfortable and bad sleep. No wardrobe in main room, had to be shared with 2nd room. Sofa not great only fits 2 people. TV basic and fire stick didn't work. No kettle. No iron. No chopping board in kitchen. No full length mirror. No covers on sun beds, plastic only. Towels and linen not changed unless asked on a longer stay and not enough for bathroom and loungers. No toiletries like shower gel. It's a tight parking space for a big car. Some of of date food in the cupboard.

Breathtaking location

Absolute sensational setting, day or night it was wonderful to sit on terrace and take in all the view. As good as it gets

Fabulous stay

Lovely spacious apartment. Fully equipped kitchen, very clean and tidy. Each bedroom had a good amount of storage space and the beds were very comfortable. Nice shower room with plenty of hot water. Stunning view of lake Como from the balcony. The owner/ team gave us clear instructions on how to get to the property, and how to gain access to the apartment, 10/10 for communication.

There was nothing to dislike about this apartment, it’s advisable to rent a car if you’re staying here.

Amazing view and quiet location

Quiet location with exceptional views. We enjoyed being away from the crowds enjoying a glass of vino overlooking the lake. Car parking space available. Ferry from Varenna only 15 minutes away. Loved the location. Owners of the property were responsive and kind in allowing us into the property a little early.

Very good

The view was lovely and apartment was spotless. Definitely need a car when staying here. Close to Varenna and can get the passenger/ car ferry to Bellagio, Menaggio. The video sent to us prior was a great help to find the parking and apartment.

A Family-Friendly Gem near Varenna

This apartment was an amazing base for our family trip to Lake Como. The online check-in process was a lifesaver since we arrived late, making our arrival smooth and stress-free. The kids absolutely loved the swimming pool, and we all enjoyed the incredible lake views from the property. The location is excellent, just under a 10-minute drive to the Varenna ferry and close to some great local restaurants. We would definitely book this apartment again..

Some of the beds were a bit on the small side, but it's a minor detail that wouldn't stop us from staying here again

Everything was very good, the apartment was clean and with an had everything needed for a pleasant stay. Private parking was really good. But the view, was just amazing.

There wasn’t something I didn’t like. The only thing is that you need to have a good car as you need to go up to reach this residence. The only thing I didn’t like was this vicky checkin, you should provide a lot of data of your self. For a big groups it wouldn’t be bad to have at least 2 bathrooms.

Perfect apartment's, with a beautiful view, everything was perfect. Better get there with a car, there is a free parking. Dorio is a small village, but even there you can find what to do, we can recommend hiking around.

Beautiful views, great location, but does need some planning ahead to get around. Beware of hill!

The view was incredible from both the balcony and the pool. The apartment was equipped with everything we could need and has plenty of room for the 4 of us. The hosts were amazing. Replied very quickly and offered great service. The local restaurant in the village was lovely with great staff and good food/drink - this was a life saver as the only option for drinks later in the evening (from 9pm), although not open every day. The pool was lovely and we mostly had it to ourselves which was an added bonus. Although Dorio is slightly outside, it is easy to get around to the main towns via train and ferry. There are trains every hour which run up and down the lake. The village or Dorio itself is also very nice and I would recommend walking below the train line along the lake (took us a few days to find)

Most my negatives are out of the host control. The hill up to the property was very tough. We are young, fit people and we really struggled to get our luggage up there. The hill also refrained us from wanting to walk up it more than once a day so it determined a lot of our planning as we didn't want to come back and go back out again. If you struggle with fitness, walking etc I would recommend a car which is a shame because it's not needed for the rest of the trip. If the property offered a shuttle for the luggage up the hill when we arrived that would have been a massive benefit for us. It is difficult to get supplies too as you have to carry them up the hill. You also need to get a train to supermarkets so can't pop out easily. Public transport stops quite early so you will have to be back to Dorio by 9pm. Taxi's are extortionate in price (56-80EUR for a 10 minute journey). We got a quote from two taxi companies the hosts gave us the number for and there was a huge 30EUR difference which was odd. One night we got stuck without food as we planned on getting pizza at the local restaurant but it was closed so we had no option other than to order a pizza as there was no transport running. Great idea to offer a Pizza takeaway but unfortunately the food was horrendous. Considering we were in Italy and I am really not picky about Pizza, it was the worst I have ever had and was very expensive. The crust was like cardboard. Pool had cleaning equipment in it sometimes in the morning when we wanted to swim and weren't sure if we'd be allowed in

Amazing place to relax your mind!

Amazing view from the kitchen window with balcony to stand outside and enjoy, we also got a chance to relax in jacuzzi. property has secure parking to leave the car. Host was great, communicated on time and resolved our issue very quickly.

Blissful time with good friends in a quaint little town in a comforting property

we came for spring break and decided to stay at residence dorio because of the great prices and good views from the pictures. upon arrival at the train station we had a hike up a very steep hill in the rain to reach the airbnb. we got a little turned around due to the weather and the host came outside to find us in the middle of the storm to make sure we got there safe. after showing us to our room she gifted us a free hour in the hot tub to help us relax from being in the rain. she then ordered pizza for us and offered to personally drive us to the grocery store to save us from a long uphill walk. We were then gifted a free local bottle of wine which was absolutely amazing. overall none of us have ever been treated with such amazing hospitality during a stay and we would all absolutely recommended this place to everyone! please give them a visit!!

There was nothing we downright disliked! However, we were just not aware about the hike to get to the property and the fact that Dorio the town doesn’t offer a lot. Make use of the trains and ferry’s!
