Magpies Restaurant with Rooms

Lovely welcome from reception at Magpies, by the owner I believe, who insisted on taking our cases up to our rooms. Both rooms [one for me, one for my Mum] were stunning - a good size with lovely ensuite bathrooms. Room 3 had 2 steps down to the ensuite, so I chose this; Mum loved it in room 2 in the big super king bed! Tea and coffee facilities in the room, including fresh milk in a fridge hidden away in the wardrobe. Next morning I discovered minibar options in the fridge - available on an honesty basis, which was a lovely touch. Complimentary bottled [glass] water each side of the bed. Breakfast was on a pre-order basis the night before, with plenty of options of cold and hot drinks, and breakfast choices. Plenty of on-street parking on arrival early afternoon and when we returned later around midnight.

Whilst both rooms were on the main coastal route through Horncastle to Skegness, there was a little traffic noise from 7am onwards on the Sunday morning, but that didn't really trouble us.

The room was beautiful as was the premises. The staff are really friendly . Very comfortable stay . The taster menu was lovely as was the flight of wine .
