Wonderful Location for Hiking

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and familial. Very dog friendly and the location is PERFECT for hiking. The food is excellent - I had preordered vegan food and it was delicious. Even though it was my first time visiting Berghüs Schratt, the family running it immediately make you feel welcome and make you feel as if you’ve known them for a long time. The room and facilities were clean. They have wonderful facilities for guests, including a sauna and a common room with billiard and a large TV. Every other guest I met was lovely. The hotel trusts their guests and treats them well and it shows by the wonderful guests who come visit again and again.

I’d say there are two things you might want to consider before visiting: Dogs are not allowed in the dining area and dinner easier lasts 80 minutes or so, so you need to be confident your dog will behave unsupervised in the room for that time. Talking about dinner, you will most likely be seated at a table with strangers (and again, dinner is not a quick affair!). My personal experience was *absolutely lovely*, but if you detest making small talk with strangers, this might be something to take into consideration.

Das Frühstücksbuffet beeindruckte durch seine große Auswahl, wenngleich die Brötchen gelegentlich nicht ganz frisch wirkten. Das Personal agierte stets engagiert und äußerst freundlich. Bei allen Fragen erhielten wir umgehend kompetente Hilfe. Die Region Oberstaufen beeindruckte mit ihrer malerischen Landschaft und vielseitigen Ausflugsmöglichkeiten.

Da es keine Auswahlmöglichkeiten gab, blieb das Abendessen stets eine Überraschung. Die Menüs wirkten wenig einfallsreich: Geschmacklich in Ordnung, doch es fehlte die nötige Raffinesse. Eines unserer veganes Hauptgerichte bestand zum Beispiel aus Salzkartoffeln mit Weißkraut und drei Champignons, ein anderes Mal nur aus einem Klecks Gemüserisotto - insgesamt etwas zu schlicht.

Ein Wohlfühlaufenthalt mit Bergpanorama

Gemütliches Hotel in ruhiger Lage. Besonders gefallen hat mir das umfangreiche Bio-Frühstück, das keine Wünsche offen gelassen hat. Auch bei schlechtem Wetter Möglichkeiten zu Wellness und Fitness im Haus. Gute Lage zu Bergbahnen und Wanderwegen und auch nicht weit nach Steibis Zentrum. Mitglied bei Oberstaufen Plus und damit Möglichkeit, täglich eine Bergbahn zu nutzen.

In jedem Winkel steckt Liebe.

Alles dort ist bio, man bekommt ein super leckeres, 4-Gänge-Menü am Abend, sehr kreative, vegetarische Gerichte. Das Hotel ist auch eingestellt auf vegan, Rohkost und andere Ernährungsarten, die man angeben kann. Frühstück sehr vielseitig, mit selbstgemachten Aufstrichen, leckeren Käsesorten, vegetarisch und vegan vorhanden, sogar ein Flocker beim Müsli. Die Gastgeber super nett, aufmerksam und man fühlt sich in die Familie aufgenommen. Am Abend sitzt man nicht alleine, so dass man immer neue, interessante Gesprächspartner am Tisch hat. Mit der Gästekarte kann man pro Tag einen der kleinen Lifte vor Ort kostenlos fahren. Überall werden ätherische Öle verwendet, die Kosmetikprodukte sind ebenso bio und hochwertig. Im Zimmer gibt es eine Wasserkaraffe mit Zirbenkugel.
