Morning coffee on the patio. The pool water slowly warming under the Sicilian sun. The scent of the garden at dawn. The real silence of the Hyblean countryside, broken only by the wind moving through the olive trees.
Casa Salina is a fully restored 19th-century baglio set in Contrada Passo Salina, just minutes from Scicli. Four double bedrooms, each named after a historic salt pan from around the world: Tavira, Paceco, Guérande, Alaea. Each with a private bathroom, rainfall shower, queen-size bed and carefully selected linens. Two rooms on the ground floor, two on the upper level, each with its own character.
The large living room with fireplace is where evenings naturally stretch late, with a glass of Nero d’Avola and no reason to go to bed early.
THE SPACES
Outside, the garden includes a private vegetable patch, a heated infinity pool with salt electrolysis system (crystal-clear water, no chlorine, gentle on the skin), and a jacuzzi with hydromassage and integrated sound system — because some moments deserve the right soundtrack. The outdoor dining area, especially on July evenings, is simply where you want to be.
Inside, you’ll find a 4K home cinema with MySky, a fully equipped kitchen, and a living space with fireplace that, in spring and autumn, is worth the trip on its own.

Scicli is just 5 km away. Baroque, UNESCO-listed, with streets that look painted and a light photographers travel the world to capture. Even closer is Sampieri, a fishing village that has remained authentically itself, with some of the most beautiful beaches on the Ragusa coast and fresh fish arriving at the harbour every morning. Ragusa Ibla, Modica, Noto: the best of the Val di Noto is all within easy reach.

Casa Salina is a really nice place to stay in Sicily. The highlight was definitely the pool and the luxurious vegetation around the villa. The host, Angelo, was really nice and the communication was easy. We ask for a chef at home and we highly recommand it; ours was Carlotta who cooked really well and was adorable. The villa was clean in general. Some parts would need a bit of maintenance (showers).
Overall, everyone of the group was satisfied and would definitely recommand Casa Salina to stay if you visit Sicily.

Siamo stati nel mese di luglio una settimana a "casa salina" e con grande piacere scrivo questa recensione!! la casa è bellissima rifinita con materiali e arredi scelti con grandissima cura e rispetto della cultura e della tradizione del luogo ( le foto allegate non mentono e la descrivono esattamente per quel che è..). un grande salotto con tv curva.. (peraltro la tv c’è con satellite in ogni stanza…) cucina a vista dotata di tutto il necessario per cucinare, 4 grandi camere da letto matrimoniali con guardaroba, ciascuna con bagno privato, alcune hanno anche un ulteriore divano o poltrona letto. Noi eravamo meno, ma credo ci si stia comodi in 10/11. C'è un ulteriore bagno per gli ospiti e la lavanderia. All'esterno un "baglio" ( cortile in pietra) dove poter cenare in una grande atmosfera. Al lato opposto al Baglio la piscina.... salata... con idromassaggio.... incorniciata da un magnifico giardino con essenze del sud, utilizzata da noi da mattina a notte fonda, la temperatura lo ha consentito!! Il giardino comprende anche una parte dedicata agli aromi e a qualche albero da frutto.
Devo dire che anche quest'anno non è stata smentita la proverbiale ospitalità del sud.. sia il proprietario di casa salina sia chi con lui se ne occupa sono state persone per gentilezza e disponibilità che speriamo proprio di poter continuare a frequentare. Ci hanno fornito tutte le indicazioni utili per visitare la zona anche non da turisti.... abbiamo girato nella zona tra Siracusa e Ragusa, le distanze sono veramente brevi, 6 km da Scicli, meno di 2 km dalla bella duna di Sanpieri etc… ma ci sono troppe cose da vedere... un mare magnifico... e non da ultimo per appassionati, la vicinanza ai set di Montalbano!!!! per questo una settimana non è stata sufficiente …. così abbiamo già in programma di tornare presto per continuare il giro.

We stayed in Casa Salina for one week in June
The place is amazing ....quite and super private .....very close toi the beatiful beach of Sampieri and few minutes from Scicli and other barroque cities .
We also thank Guglielmo who gave us a lot of tips to better know the Ragus province.
