Comfortable stay

We stayed for 3 nights in Oct 2025. The hotel is right on Dalawela beach. All rooms have beach view. The hotel is very clean and rooms are big. The staff is very helpful and were willing to accomodate our requests for food types - and food is good. Overall good value for money stay with awesome location and views. The beach swing is 3-5 mins walk on the beach.

I stayed at Amanda Beach Villas for 2 nights with my family, and from the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. The staff were incredibly friendly and greeted us with cold towels. The manager, George, is very generous and always willing to help.
The highlight of our stay was definitely the view—it’s breathtaking, and you can enjoy it right from your room. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The furniture is a bit old, but it didn’t affect our experience.
The on-site restaurant is convenient, though I would recommend adding more menu options.
Overall, our experience was fantastic, and I highly recommend Amanda Beach Villas for anyone looking for a relaxing beachside getaway in Unawatuna.

Don't make mistake by seeing the view of the hotel. The hotel has direct ocean view from the room and they provide breakfast Nothing else. I repeat, nothing else is that good in comparison to the higher price.
- The washroom was not clean. The fittings were old and rustic with no cleainess.
- Each room costs 150-200 usd which is a lot but you can't expect anything except the view. So many hotels have good views with less money in Galle.
- The swimming pool was so tiny that it feels like a bath tub. The pool was not clean either and nobody cleaned it properly.
- They did not provide enough water either. Only 2 small ones.
- If the cost was under 500 usd then it would be worth it. Not a penny more.
- Drainage of the washroom was so poor. They did not have water drainage system in the toilet area. Only in the bath area. So water came to the room and it happened in other rooms too while we were staying.
- They did not provide dental kits or slippers even with this high price. We asked still they did not.
- Food was skyrocket overpriced.
- Not at all worth the money.
