Lovely garden, most welcoming staff

The staff was very helpful and made me feel at ease. Breakfast was very good quality and I was especially happy to be able to get some coffee at any time of the day. The garden is lovely, a unique oasis in the city centre, and to my great delight there was an adorable and friendly cat roaming around, too. The room was very clean and comfortable, perfect for a short stay.

I liked everything about my stay, but would just like to note that the area is slightly uphill, so not very convenient if you are carrying heavy bags or suitcases. However, this did not impact my overall most positive experience.

Really good little hotel, away from the street but well located in the center, close to everything. The personnel is nice and helpful, the bed is really comfortable, overall excellent.

The only things that could be improved according to me is to have a curtain that actually covers the entire width of the window and add some thin slices of tomatoes at the breakfast to make a more juicy breakfast sandwich. If your neighbours are very noisy, you might want to bring some earplugs.

If don't need much, if you dont want clean room...

If it wasn't polite, the staff wouldn't be worth it at all. thank God the front desk workers were polite. The cleaner is not doing her job well. Breakfast was the main without many more ok. The Location alone was good and the cat in the yard. Not otherwise. it's not worth it. You'd better spend 20 euros more a night and stay in a decent room. Too bad

we stayed there a few days ago for 3 nights. The room was dirty, the walls everywhere blood from molten mosquitoes, the carpet in the dirt had not been cleaned for a long time before us. The bed was for dwarves. Although I am not considered tall , they were equal to me. I am 1.70 tall. No one above this height fits in at all! garbage straws were never changed during these 4 days. the toilet basket was not empty at all except when the gentleman downstairs at the front desk asked us if we wanted something for the room. Otherwise, the cleaning lady never comes. there were cracks in the roof, it was falsely made like living in a prefab cheap. You will also see in the photos everything I mention

Lovely well located secure quiet spacious apartment, with very helpful staff.

Very welcoming reception staff, accommodating our early arrival, and giving us excellent advice. There was a spacious open garden environment, large high ceiling room and bathroom, and the breakfast was wonderfully tasty and nutritious. The access to coffee and a fresh apple was a wonderful treat at odd times during the day. It was very secure and quiet.

Good bed, nice room

Noisy, one of the receptionists has a very deep low voice, it was super loud for me (room on the ground floor) I also found the breakfast very simple, just adding some legumes or yoghurt would be nice

A perfect stay in the heart of Belgrade with warm hospitality and a great location.

The staff were extremely kind and attentive throughout my stay. The location is perfect…central and within walking distance to many key attractions in Belgrade. My single room was very clean and comfortable, and I felt truly welcomed from the moment I arrived.

Good Value Hotel Located Near Belgrade's Main Pedestrian Drag

Bed & Breakfast Garden40 is located just a few blocks from the main pedestrian street in central Belgrade. Most of the city's tourist attractions are within walking distance or a short bus ride. The rooms are basic, but clean, with decent Wi-Fi and a good breakfast. My guess is that Bed & Breakfast Garden40 is one of the better options for a stay in central Belgrade in this price range.

Good budget hotel but worth looking for a better one.

The hotel has the following positive attributes: - Good location in the city; - Welcoming staff who speak excellent English; - The hotel always has access to water, kettle, utensils; - There is a laundromat not far from the hotel; - The hotel has WiFi, but it's slow.

The hotel needs attention to detail to get better: - Breakfast, as an option, is very poor. In the second half of the vacation some of the products (bread, salad, drinking drinks) stopped appearing. This is a budget hotel, but also the products that disappeared are not expensive. Do not rely on the breakfast in this hotel; - The budget rooms on the first floor are poorly soundproofed; - Hot water is heated by a boiler. This boiler is installed in some rooms and the hot water is shared with all other rooms. Often there was a situation when there was no hot water; - The rooms are quite cold if the temperature outside is below 15 degrees. The heating in some rooms does not work well.

The location is very convenient, and within walking distance you can visit all the sights. The staffs are very friendly and helpful providing the info. The room is nice and clean, we are very happy with that. The breakfast is excellent, so as the coffee.

Great value, walkable to many sites.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included enough variety and was healthy. Some of the breads were left out to enjoy later in the day with tea or coffee. The bed was comfortable.

Bathroom was tiny and I could barely open the door without hitting the cabinet under the sink. It was not possible to stand in front of the sink without squeezing next to the toilet and closing the door.

Cleaning issues

1. The room was not cleaned properly when I checked in. I left for a walk and asked to fix it, but when I'm back - it was almost the same. There is a problem with understanding of what clean and safe mean. In my room I had: dirty carpet and dusty floors, mold on the bathroom walls, some pieces of food and garbage left, YELLOW URINE STAINS on the back side of the toilet seat. It was still there after I asked to clean it, then after 2 times asked, the lady at the reception came and remived it. I am shocked. Some hotels think that if price below 50 euro there is no need to clean rooms. 2. My single room was on the first floor right near the reception and breakfast area. I heard every sinfle word that was told by ppl and was awake at 6.30 by breakfast preparation, even I have used ear plugs. 3. The window didnt open properly, I had to pull it hard as I can and still didn't succeeded few times 4. The curtain in the bathroom is short, so when you take a shower, it waters all the bathroom floor
