Deliberate deception regarding location

The critical down side was that the photos and location were not accurate. The apartment itself was spacious, tidy and very clean. There were shutters on every window, which worked very well, so the bedroom could stay quiet and dark during the day if needed. The air conditioniners (one in each room) worked very well and was powerful enough to cool either room exactly as required. The kitchen was small, but did include everything you could want for basic meals on a short stay. Some very minor points for improvement : 1. Ventilation in the bathroom was very poor even with the window open. There was a small vent cut in to the window which did not help at all. 2. There was no kettle, but there was a stove coffee brewer, or you could boil a pot of water. 3. There was no range hood, so any steam from the kitchen gathered in the lounge room, which risked setting of the smoke alarm. 4. The TV bracket was very stiff and close to the wall, making it hard to plug a cable or USB in.

Deception, deliberate and calculated deception. The location was not as advertised, and some of the photos were of a different property. To be clear, my issue was with the managing agency when collecting the keys, not the website or the owner. I searched several different sites, each showing potential rental locations by a price tag on the map. The location shown was very central and convenient. I then clicked on that and could see a range of photos, some of which were for other properties, in particular the outdoor spaces. The next screen showed the prices again and included the RESERVE button. After clicking that, the next screen had text describing the property, which I was later told, is where the actual address of the accommodation was disclosed. The confirmation email I received after the non refundable booking showed the address of where I intended to stay, and shortly after, a second email with a different address. The first address, shown on the map when making my selection, turned out to be the office of the managing agent. The address in the second email was where the accommodation actually was, which was a 15 minute cab ride away from the city centre that I had been shown on the map. The agent denied that this was in any way deceptive, and refused to even consider a refund.

Central, friendly, a wonderful stay

Central location, all walkable even pushing a pram but in a quieter residential area so no noise pollution at night. Also great cafes and restaurants nearby. Spacious and well equipped apartment, it was minimalist but that was ideal for us with two toddlers.

Disappointed with apartment

The agency/hosts were very friendly and helpful, especially when things were not working and in providing directions and travel suggestions around the city.

There is only air conditioning on the top floor in the kitchen area so it was too warm to sleep at night as bedroom downstairs had no air con. The bed was broken and creaked a lot. The toilet also broke a couple of times and we could not flush it and the washing machine was broken (although someone did come out to fix this during our stay). The description stated there was a lift which we required for the pram and there was not one available. The apartment we stayed in was also quite far out of the centre which wasn’t obvious at the time of booking.

Clean, well appointed apartment with good access to the city

Well appointed apartment hidden behind the facade of an older building. Very clean, easy to find and well located within a short walk walk of Verona center

We were happy with all aspects of the accommodation, however be aware that its an apartment in a block so you will hear the neighbors, they were not intrusive and never beyond what I consider to be a normal noise level for apartment living

Good quality accommodation, close to all amenities.

Great location for Arena, Piaza Erbe and the castle/river. Supermarkets and gelatos close by, very good bar at the end of the road. Air con in living room and double bedroom, effective, quiet fan in other bedroom. Well equipped kitchen. Quiet location.

Poorly appointed apartment, exceptionally basic.

The location was great.

Facilities listed a lift. No lift. Basic furniture only, no coffee table in lounge area. No wine glasses-Italy! Useless toaster. Iron did not work. Miserly body wash/shampoo. Miserly dishwashing liquid. Felt like no one cared for this apartment, spartan to say the least.

Close to the river on the best part of the city.

Not that it was a big deal but there was no remote control for the AC so I couldn’t use it. Lucky it wasn’t humid.

4 Nights in Verona

The location was fantastic. We were so close to the city centre. The communication from the staff was exceptional. As we had never stayed in an apartment before we were a little unsure.. but they answered every single query. They even moved us to a location closer to our family who were travelling with us! They also arranged a taxi to & from the airport & stored our luggage. The apartment was practically sound proof when the windows were closed. We would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable stay in Verona

It was an old renovated 1+1 flat in Verona. There were 2 double beds, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. Remaining space was enough to dine and move. The kitchen was small but with enough equipment. Thanks to Dimore Verona (probably they have several flats in Verona and all provide similar services) for the courtesy dishwasher tablets, dishwashing detergent, salt, sugar etc. The flat was at walking distance to the city center, not noisy and there was one AC unit which was sufficient for the small flat.

Nice location in the center.

Very good location, a very nice appartment. It was also very spacious for 5 people. Easy to pick up keys. Very nice house too with elevator. Shops, restaurants, attractions all very close.

3 things, which can be improved: 1) the wifi service was not continous, the binding was intermittent, it turned on and off. It was not convenient at all 2) the doors were jammed and squeaking - it bothered other people's sleep. I suppose it can be fixed easily with some grease and settings. 3) please replace the shower head as it scattered the water around.

Very difficult to find and the keys used to open it are unusual. The furniture is extremely sparse. Made it less comfortable than it needed to be. Kitchen could have been stocked a little better.

Lovely stay at Verona

Big apartment, almost at the center, two bathrooms, practically 3 bedrooms and separate kitchen and two dining tables to choose. Very quiet. Airconditioned.

There were some small ants, but we didn't mind. Don't leave trash opened or food on the table.

We could not make coffee at all as the old fashion coffee maker was so small that it could not be heated on the stove as it was too small. The instructions for walking to the apartment were unclear, and wrong. The leaflet stated it would take only five minutes, whereas it took more than 15 minutes, with luggage during the heat wave.

Very nice, clean, and comfortable apartment. We had all the necessary equipment we might need during our stay. The staff was very kind and helpful. The location of the house is quite near the town center (just 10 away from Verona Arena on foot). Very good services overall.
