My partner and I absolutely loved our 7-day stay at bnapartments Palácio. The apartment was very clean and well prepared, and it had really everything we needed for a comfortable stay, which made us feel right at home. The self-check-in system was convenient. On the day of our arrival, we received a message with detailed instructions on how to collect the key. We had a little trouble getting it at first, but the issue was resolved quickly over the phone. We also appreciated the cleaning service. Our apartment was cleaned twice during our 7-day stay. Each time, the beds were made and all the towels were replaced. For anyone who needs luggage storage, there is a place nearby called “Luggage Hero”. It is located in a small corner of an underground car park on Rua de Maternidade. We booked in advance through their app and stored our large suitcases there for €1 per hour per suitcase. It was only about a 5-minute walk from there to the apartment. An Uber ride from Porto Airport took less than 20 minutes and cost us €8.20. The location of the apartment was simply perfect. It was within walking distance of the city centre, yet the neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful. There was no noise at night. The “Palácio” bus stop was only a 3-minute walk away, with plenty of buses running to the city centre. We loved strolling or going for a run in the nearby Jardins do Palácio de Cristal. It was also the ideal spot to enjoy the sunset without the crowds. There is a small Auchan supermarket nearby. However, we preferred to do our grocery shopping at the large Pingo Doce supermarket near Mercado do Bolhão, about a 30-minute walk from the apartment. If you enjoy good sourdough bread, I highly recommend a small bakery called “Masseira”, about a 10-minute walk away. They also make gluten-free bread using rice flour available on Tuesdays. The only minor drawback was the limited space between the kitchen sink and the overhead cupboard, making it easy to bump our heads. But it didn't affect our overall experience.

Communicated with the host in advance of the check in who allowed us a slightly earlier check-in. This was much appreciated. Instructions were clear but we struggled to locate the door to the lock boxes! Our error and everything else straightforward. The apartment was clean, air-conditioned, bathroom had toiletries and plenty of fresh towels. The apartment was located near a park, we were able to grab a bite to eat nearby and take a 15 minute walk into the main sights we wanted to see. A perfectly adequate place for a brief overnight stay in Porto before a really early morning flight back home.

- the apartment is much older than I expected - a lot of defects are clearly visible - it's also smaller (I doubt that it's 30 m2 as advertised) - while it was definitely cleaned, I would prefer to not touch anything there - slippers and toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.) are not provided - no self check-in - damp smell in the apartment
