Amazing vibe and people - definitely hope to come back one day!

Erofili Rooms is a little heaven in the south of Crete. Totally Mamma Mia and hippie chill vibes. The staff was amazing, so kind and always helpful. Had some discussions in the afternoon with them on Cretan culture and went to see them perform their great music. We loved the location of “small town/village” and were able to visit most of Crete with the car. Definitely recommend and hope for sure to come back one day.

Tatty, tired, paper-thin walls, mercenery owners

Our stay at Erofili Rooms was (luckily) the only unpleasant thing in an otherwise lovely holiday in Agia Galini and the surrounding area. The view from the room, as mentioned in other review, is nice. And the cats are sweet. That's about it. We have stayed in other places in Agia Galini and most have lovely views, but for a lower price (as we discovered when we checked out and went to a cheaper and far quieter, more comfortable hotel complete with friendly staff and decent beds). The bathroom had been renovated and the shower worked well. Other than that the experience was really poor, so I would not recommend this place to anyone. We are frequent travellers and enjoy staying in all kinds of accommodation, from guesthouses to 5-star hotels. But in all our years of travelling this was the first time we've encountered such complete indifference to guest comfort and such a mercenary attitude. I get the feeling the owner is a "friendly" lady if everything is OK, much less so if you have any problems, which unfortunately we did.

Arrived during check-in hours but found our room key on a chair with a note saying to let ourselves in and stating they prefer cash payment. The beds were old and uncomfortable, the room was tatty with nowhere to unpack except a few hangers, and the fridge was noisy. On our way out we were stopped by other guests searching in vain for staff- still no sign of anyone. They were clearly not impressed. While in reception we noticed a sign advertising twice-weekly concerts, with one the following night at 10pm in the dining room above our bedroom (there was a drum kit in the dining area when we arrived); if we'd known, we would have booked elsewhere, a good night's sleep is important for us. When we came back after dinner, our neighbours were having a party on their balcony. This went on until 02.30, in spite of requests (ours and other guests') to turn the music down. The building is old with paper-thin walls so sleep was out of the question. Next morning we woke late, having slept in bits (furniture scraping in the dining room early morning, church bells, noise from other rooms). At 10.15 we asked if we could have breakfast even if we were 15 mins late as we'd slept badly, but were told no way. 20 mins later someone appeared at our door to say they'd changed their minds, but by that time our patience had run out, and we decided to go elsewhere (in view of the concert- didn't want to risk another sleepless night). Called the owner, who came with her surly husband and they charged us for the WHOLE stay, saying the noise is not their fault. She offered a room change but that was it. Booking tried to convince the owners to refund ONE night's stay as a goodwill gesture instead of charging us for the whole stay,but the owners refused, much to the surprise of Booking customer service staff. Basically if you have any problems, it's your tough luck.

Breakfast was wholly inadequate, more like you might have expected fifty years ago, perhaps. Almost cold toast on day one, inadequate amount of hard butter, and apricot jam. Day two was untoasted sliced bread and a luke warm overboiled boiled egg, with inadequate butter and apricot jam. Nothing else was on offer! I was amased, because other have praised the breakfast in their reviews.

Amazing colourful authentic flower power decor with a breathtaking view over the harbour! Very friendly hosts provided us with wellcome treats (sweets & Raki). Our breakfast was exeptionally.

Exceptional

The view! The bright bougainvillea and the blue sea in the background are truly amazing. So beautiful that up to the point of entering the room I thought there's no way that the photos match the reality. They do and it's even better when you are actually there. The room itself was clean and it even had a small desk and enough space for luggage. The owner is super friendly and welcoming. Would've stayed longer if I could.

Superb

We spent there couple of wonderful days- we especially enjoyed the view from our balcony and delicious breakfast. Eleni is a great host and the soul of the hotel! The hippie vibe of this place is so real and natural :) Hope to be back soon!

Beautiful, not so comfy

The breathtaking view, great breakfast, friendly staff.

The room not very spacious to move around, not enough space for your belogings, it took ages to get some hot water, the double mattress not so comfy for two grownups, the furniture and fittigs quite worn out, a/c a bit noisy, no staff in the evening around, only a telephone number should you need anything.

Super stay with spectacular view

We really enjoyed our stay at Erofili Rooms. The room was clean and spacious with spectacular view, the breakfast was super with fresh local specialties and, above all, truly appreciated the owners, always ready to cater to their guests' need, who helped us promptly to solve our key problem. Exceptional

We stayed there for a single night on the arrival day before we moved to our destination in another area of Crete. It was an excellent choice for this purpose. We enjoyed the beach for a while, then walked to the small port area and to a nearby viewpoint. Then we had an excellent dinner in the town. Let me highlight the sea view from our balcony. Another thing to praise was the breakfast: the food itself and the wonderful morning lights/fresh air at the hotel's other balcony.

We didn't really care but if you visit the beach on foot, you may find the walking back (to the hotel's elevation) a bit tiring. But the view may compensate this difficulty :)

Magnetic amazing view!

View 1a! Really amazing chillaxing view, only hunger "forced us" to leave the room ;) otherwise we wouldn`t have left the balcony, pleasant breakfast with traditional touch, good vibes, beautiful rooms, nice people, books and magazines to read, welcome and goodbye treats! Just a small suggestion-maybe a mini soap/shower bath set -we did not mind since we have had our own and we found everything 110% perfect, but for travellers without, it would be more comfortable

Einzigartig!

Das Hotel hat einen Charme, den wir noch nie so erlebt haben. Das ganze Hotel wurde mit viel Liebe und Sorgfalt eingerichtet, jeder Gegenstand wurde bewusst ausgewählt. Die Besitzer des Hotels sind mit Leib und Seele in diesem Haus, und wir dürfen ihre Gäste sein. Alles ist sauber und gepflegt. Wir liebten unseren romantischen Balkon! Das Frühstück wurde täglich variiert, aber grundsätzlich gab es etwas mit Eier (bspw. Omlett oder hartgekocht etc.), Brot, div. hausgemachte Marmelade, Honig und Butter, div. Getränke. Alles zubereitet von der guten Seele des Hauses, die auch unser Zimmer reinigte.

Ο χώρος διακοσμημένος με προσωπικό καλλιτεχνικό στυλ που σε έκανε να χαίρεσαι να βρίσκεσαι εκεί, σε φανταστική τοποθεσία με υπέροχη θέα και εξοπλισμένος με τα απαραίτητα. Ηταν πεντακάθαρο όλο το κατάλυμα όχι μόνο το δωμάτιο, και ο κ. Μύρωνας ήταν πολύ πρόσχαρος και φιλικός. Άξιζε οπωσδήποτε η διαμονή!

Χωρίς να μας εμπόδισε κατά τη διαμονή μας, η έλλειψη πάρκινγκ ίσως ειναι ένα μικρό μείον όταν έχει καύσωνα εάν δεν υπάρχει κάποια θέση εκεί τριγύρω. Ωστόσο εμείς βρήκαμε να παρκάρουμε σε απόσταση ενός λεπτού από το κατάλυμα και δεν είχαμε μεγάλες βαλίτσες οπότε δε δυσκολευτηκαμε καθόλου.

Sajnos ugyanúgy tönkre fogják tenni, ahogy Görögország nagy részét, vagy Kréta északi részét is már tönkretették. Csak olyan vendégeknek való, akik ezt a stílust értékelni is tudják.

Figli dei fiori

Il terrazzino con vista mare è davvero splendido. L'atmosfera da "figli dei fiori" che si respira in ogni angolo, è molto gradevole. Eleni è stata sempre molto gentile e sorridente. Con una passeggiata di 10 minuti si arriva sia alla spiaggia, sia al centro di Agia Galini. Volendo rilassarsi,si può soggiornare qui senza bisogno di un auto, sapendo però di dover fare parecchie salite e discese. La spiaggia è ben tenuta, il servizio ombrellone e lettini non si paga se si mangia qualcosa nel locale che lo gestisce. Noi siamo stati da Apnea e abbiamo mangiato una insalata cretese GIGANTE ( ok x 2 persone)!

La salita per arrivare alla struttura,piuttosto ripida, la difficoltà nel trovarla,poiché non è ben segnalata, è un po' nascosta nel verde.Inoltre il personale è presente solo al mattino, quindi se si arriva più tardi si trova la chiave ad attenderti, ma non vi è possibilità di chiedere informazioni a nessuno. Difficoltà di parcheggio: forse è l'unica struttura senza un parcheggio riservato. Subito prima di arrivare, se salite ancora sulla dx potete trovare una stradina con parcheggio libero sul lato sinistro.

Utsikt to die for

UTSIKTEN, UTSIKTEN, UTSIKTEN. Hotellet kan beskrivas som att det fortfarande var kvar i den härliga hippi-eran (70-talet) Till skillnad mot alla andra vita hotell var detta gulmålat med grönturkosa räcken. Det var handmålade blommor ovanför sängen och i allmäna utrymmen var det målat både här och där och det var inte direkt så många vita väggar. Bougainvillea verkligen klädde in balkongerna och det var verkligen vackert. Toa och duschutrymmet var fräscht och det fanns en kyl med frysfack och vattenkokare samt några te-påsar och neascaffé i engångsförpackning.

Vi visste att det inte fanns något pentry men skulle det funnits så skulle hotellet få toppbetyg från vår sida. Lite svårt med parkeringar och höga backar att ta sig upp för, både med bilen och/eller apostla-hästarna (benen). Men vill man njuta av den fantastiska usikten, ja då är det berg och backar som gäller.
