Exceptional

Loved everything about this spacious apartment especially the large corner balcony with its great views. Everything you need in the kitchen area was supplied. Bed was very comfortable. Eleni was an excellent host and was always available. Very easily accessible from Heraklion - less than 2 hours by bus which provides an excellent service. 10 minutes scenic walk to the beach. 2 minute walk to a great selection of tavernas, supermarket etc.....

Akteon Rooms offers something truly special: a stunning 270-degree view over Agia Galini from the terrace that you’ll never get tired of. Inside, the apartment is spacious, with two bedrooms and a large living room that includes a well-equipped kitchen. The thoughtful touches really stand out — fridge (complete with ice cubes!), kettle, coffee machine, toaster, NutriBullet, and even a sandwich maker. And there’s a huge panoramic window - more of a view isn’t possible. The location has a bit of a Montmartre feeling thanks to the stairs leading up from the parking, adding charm and character. A supermarket is conveniently just uphill around the corner. Overall, a perfect blend of comfort, quirky charm, and breathtaking views — highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience Agia Galini in style.

Picturesque town, great host and good room for the price!

Great room in the beautiful small seaside town of Agia Gallini. The host was very friendly, kind and helpful.

The town is located on a hill and the streets leading to the hotel were quite narrow. We had to park in the port of the town, as there is no parking close to the hotel. For us to get the suitcases up to our room we had to carry them up many stairs from the port, which was quite difficult.

Stunning view

Very helpful and friendly hosts. Easy checkin. Great views from the shared balcony and easy walk to tavernas and harbour. A really nice village by the Libyan Sea and a good coastal walk to the east. The rooms are older style but comfortable and breakfast was tasty. Water, juice drink, boiled egg, lovely fresh bread and butter and homemade jam, coffee and tea. There’s a jug and cups in the room and a fridge.

The bed is firm but ok.

The room was clean. The view from the tarrace was beautiful. The personel was nice.

The standard is very basic - something you might know from the mountain shelters. It’s not worth the price - I stayed in way better apartaments in Crete that had the same price. The breakfast was very basic - bread and egg (No veggies, No cheese, etc.).

This was a fantastic place to stay. it was off season so we had it to ourselves. but if it was busy we would have made some great friends in the communal courtyard. fantastic location above restaurants, bars, and shops. a great view of the marina and sea from the balcony. gorgeous plants. breakfast was spectacular. I’ve never eaten soo much in my life. The orange juice was fresh, amazing yogurt with fruit, omelettes, toast… brilliant. Eleni was a wonderful host. very kind and helpful. the place was great value for money. we tipped because it wasn’t even enough for how much we enjoyed our stay.

Relaxation from start to finish.

I’ve been to Agia Galini many times and have stayed at the Akteon 3 times. If you’re looking for absolute luxury this isn’t for you. If you want a clean room, comfortable beds, linen and towels changed regularly, a location 2 minutes away from the harbour, bars and restaurants and a lovely host (Eleni) then I can thoroughly recommend it.

Great little hotel in fantastic location.

A lively little hotel right by the harbour with super views. Close to all facilities but not noisy. Owner is very friendly and helpful. We would definitely visit again.

The air conditioning unit packed up early evening on our first night. The owner couldn't have been more helpful. She offered us two single rooms to sleep in instead (all she had free), and then pulled out all the stops to get it fixed the next day - even sending her son a long way away to fetch a new unit. Unfortunately but not her fault and she did everything she could to fix the situation. She then offered us money off to compensate us.

Perfect location and nice ocean view from the terrace outside the room. Good breakfast. Room is very basic and worn down. Bathroom is like a closet. It works for one night, not more. The price for the room is too high. The hostess is friendly and helpful. Public parking is at the harbour below the terrasses of the town. The stairs to the hotel is a steep walk.

Exceptional view from Terrace.

There is a terrace right in front of the room with an exceptional view. Very nice place to sit and relax. Breakfast was also served at a terrace. Free parking at the parking place at the harbour.

Other guest ca look into your rooms when at the terrace - so we closed our windows while sleeping - not the big deal for us ;-) You have to climb a lot of stairs to reach the room from the harbour/parking place. This is due to the location of Agia Galini placed on steep hill.

First impressions were the amazing views, size and cleanliness of the accommodation and the friendly welcome from the house maid.

It would have been good to know that parking was in the main square, we drove around the small village trying to find closer parking

Lovely place with spacious rooms, big terraces for breackfast and just to sit in the evening or afternoon and enjoy a glass of wine)) Great view on the gulf from the balcony! Restaurants and cafee are just several meters from this place. Nearest beach is just 7 minutes walk from here. The host was very friendly, helpful and polite. Breackfast including many home made delicious food)). And the general impression is that you came to visit your beloved aunt. Who fortunatrly lives by the sea))

If you travel by car it is not clear how to reach the parking spot nearby. It is necessary separate instruction to be provided. Otherwise you will arrive to the hotel which is situated on extremely narrow oneway street.
