The Riad is beautiful, well maintained and clean. The attention to detail is what really makes the place unique. Breakfast is homemade and fresh every morning by the host and her husband. Very good location in the Medina.

Location is terrific; a ten-minute walk to everything; bus, beach, port, historic sites, Game of Thrones filming locations, hammam, restaurants, etc!
I liked it, but if you don’t like the sound of the call to prayer filling your room at 6am, this may not be ideal. That said, Essaouira may not be ideal, as it’s audible everywhere.

1. The location is great, right in the centre of the Medina, making it easy to walk around and explore.
2. The staff is very kind and welcoming, and the breakfast is tasty.
3. I also really liked the design of the room, which has a nice local touch.
1. I was disappointed with the communication from the host. The first message I received was a reminder to pay upon arrival, not the warmest welcome. On my first morning, I waited 30 minutes for breakfast in the wrong location, which was never clearly communicated. When I contacted the host, there was no greeting or apology; instead, I received a short WhatsApp message that almost blamed me for the mistake. I manage properties, and I never communicate with a guest like this. After that, no follow-up or inquiry about my stay. Annoying.
Overall, I didn’t feel welcome, and it seemed like the focus was more on payment than hospitality.
2. There is ongoing construction next door, and the Riad is located very close to a mosque, which means early morning calls to prayer and daytime noise. This should be mentioned in the listing so guests can make an informed decision when booking.
3. The curtains are not blackout, so be prepared to wake up with the sunrise. Napping in the afternoon is also hard with the amount of light coming in.
4. Please change the bed cover. It looks nice, but the "balls" on top of the cover hit your face at night. Good design but not practical.
