The building was old but charming and the welcome was very nice

There wasn’t a light by the bed and there were cameras on the roof by the sun beds that moved when I was there. I frequently found my door and windows completely open or unlocked after cleaning. Shower was like a tap with no spray to speak of.

I loved the location and the warm welcome and generous breakfast.

I couldn’t get power from the wall sockets.

This place was lovely. I was welcomed with tea and dried fruits. Communication before arrival was very good. My room was comfortable and very clean. The room and my private bathroom outside of the room was well cleaned daily and I really appreciated that. There was ample storage too. The breakfast was really good and the lady serving was kind. I really liked the area - a bit of a quieter spot in the Medina that felt safe and calm (a little away from the slightly more chaotic parts which are great to visit but nice to get away from at night). The price/quality ratio for this place was really good for my stay.

Some softer lighting would be great. I got a lamp placed in my room the day after arrival. The lights also turned off very quickly and it would be good if that could be changed a little bit. It could be quite loud in the mornings with loud music playing on repeat and someone watching videos very loud - that would be great if that could wait until after breakfast or so when everyone is awake. I would appreciate earlier breakfast times - it would've been nice to eat something quickly before a 7am departure.

It was clean and mattress was comfortable

I didn’t like having to leave my room to access my bathroom especially at night I would have preferred an ensuite (this is not made clear on booking) The eco lights were frustrating if you were in the middle of something and they went off as happens always, my kettle did not work, there are security cameras everywhere I have stayed in Essouria 6 times now and have never known anything like it, even outside one that shouts at you if your too close to the door. Breakfast was exactly the same every morning no variety, not even asked if we would like our eggs different. And 2 very strange things, my friend left her lamp on when we went out and when she came back it had been switched off so someone entered her room to do this, and the shower gel and shampoo I brought with me suddenly diminished more than I was using it very odd…..I wish also they would use quilts on the beds instead of old style sheets and blankets not quite sure all those big thick blankets were washed and dried between guests…..
