I had a fantastic stay in this traditional two-story home in Kanazawa. The space was impeccably clean and felt very authentic. The layout worked well for us, with two comfortable beds upstairs and a traditional futon setup in the other room. Having access to a fully functional kitchen and a washer downstairs made the stay very convenient, and the location itself was wonderful—it was incredibly quiet and tucked away from the city noise. We would love to stay here again.

While the house itself was lovely, there were a few logistical challenges. The unit is quite far from everything, and since it is not located near the main reception office, the check-in process was a bit of an ordeal, requiring two separate taxi rides and consuming nearly half of our day. Additionally, there was some frustration regarding our shipped luggage; it required quite a bit of back-and-forth arguing to convince the staff to have the bags delivered to our unit rather than forcing us to travel back to the office to retrieve them ourselves. However, they were ultimately able to accommodate our request and get the luggage to us, which we greatly appreciated. Despite the initial check-in hurdles, it was a memorable and peaceful stay.

The house is even more beautiful than in the pictures! Super comfy bed too. It is perfectly located to walk everywhere in the town. Fantastic!

El tener que hacer el check-in a más de 25 minutos andando del sitio, nos supuso un quebradero de cara a nuestra organización y el perder un tiempo valioso para una estancia de una sola noche.

Staying in a traditional house.

The distance from the check in office was 2km away, and with a check out time of 10am and then only allowing bags to be stored from 12pm means you have to hang onto your luggage for 2 hours. The walk with luggage was tough, not to mention the buses are full so taking luggage on buses is also tough.
