Poe Luxury

The apartment is very spacious and comfortable. The beds are very nice. The location is excellent, right on the edge of the old town and closse to several shopping malls. Communication with the hostess was impeccable.

The place is just a few small things short of perfect. It could use some hangers in the bathroom and some more storage for clothes other than the many hangers in the hallway.

We stayed here on Saturday. The main drawback was the noise from the street. It made it difficult for the children to fall asleep. Therefore, if a quiet place is important to you, this may not be the best option. It would also be nice to have a wider selection of kitchenware, as our large family didn't have enough bowls.

I liked two things - the proximity to all the attractions and the comfortable main bed.

I must admit that I have a problem with Booking itself, which groups photos of different apartments/rooms rented by the same host. Through my inattention, I chose the room that turned out to be the smallest one on offer and it is not a room where 4 people can comfortably stay. The host is fond of the word luxury, but this place had little to do with luxury, as a few new things from Ikea do not make a place luxurious. There was a lack of a place to prepare a meal (tiny kitchen worktop), there was a lack of a sharp knife, there was a lack of a dish dryer, there was a lack of a clothes dryer (the washing machine was therefore useless), there was a lack of a radiator to hang wet towels in the bathroom. The washbasin in the bathroom is microscopic (this is the model you use in small WCs). This makes it hard to wash your face in it, or shave dry without leaving your hair on the floor. When we entered the room for the first time, we were greeted by a not very pleasant stuffiness (I recommend ventilating the room and leaving the windows open). Unfortunately, the room has windows on one side, which makes air circulation difficult, especially when you close the windows at night to reduce the noise. And it can be quite noisy at night... During our stay the music from a nearby club was perfectly audible until 3 AM. The last unpleasant thing was the towels, which started to smell bad after the first wipe down. This is probably due to improper drying (and possible low temperature washing). Perhaps not unpleasant but certainly strange was the host's behaviour regarding free parking. In theory the room was supposed to have a free parking space in the courtyard. The host first directed us to this space and then informed us that it would be better if we parked in the street, as this space belonged to a neighbour. It's a good thing that parking on the street is free at weekends, which is as advertised. Luxury.
