Lemon House is the perfect place to stay. Charming, comfortable, clean, and caters to every need. And quiet—very quiet. The room is huge, with a comfortable bed and cozy pillows. The bed linen is high quality. The bathroom is spacious and ticks all the boxes. Our room faced the courtyard and was amazingly quiet; we slept so well. And breakfast is amazing—a true feast for the senses. The host, Christel, makes the omelets herself, and we had great conversations with her in the meantime. Honestly, we can only speak about Christel in superlatives: she is kind, friendly, and helpful, with excellent local tips. We felt like she could arrange anything for us. She even asked a local restaurant on our behalf to make meatballs that were so unspeakably delicious, they were the kind only a real Sicilian grandmother could make. If you can choose only one place in Sicily, make it this one: The Lemon House. It’s also in the best location—Taormina and Savoca are beautiful! And while the beaches around here are pebbly, the water is crystal clear.

Everything was great but most importantly I must commend our dear host Christal for her exceptional hospitality and her kind help with everything, from booking restaurant reservations and beachfront seating to her wonderful recommendations for sightseeing.
