    The only real highlight of this hotel was the breathtaking sea view from our room. The scenery was absolutely beautiful and was the main reason our stay was still somewhat enjoyable. Unfortunately, everything else was disappointing. The hotel is located on top of a steep hill, and every day we had to climb and descend countless stairs in the heat just to reach the reception, breakfast area, or any hotel facilities. The paths and stairways were full of lizards, which made the experience even less pleasant. Our room did not have a kettle, complimentary water, or any basic amenities for making tea or coffee. Every time we wanted a hot drink, we had to walk all the way down and then back up those long staircases. Although our room was officially on the second floor, it felt more like the fifth because there was no elevator. Carrying luggage and walking up and down multiple times a day was exhausting. The breakfast selection was very limited and lacked variety. Cleanliness also needs significant improvement, as the overall condition of the room and hotel did not meet our expectations. In summary, the stunning view was the only major advantage of this property. The inconvenient layout, endless stairs, lack of basic amenities, poor breakfast, and cleanliness issues made the stay far less comfortable than it should have been.

    Brilliant location right next to funicular and short 5 min walk to two beaches. Value for location was brilliant. Friendly staff. Decent rooms. Happy Stay for 2-3 nights

    I’ll start with the positives. The view from the balcony is incredible. The journey to get to the balcony for said views is just that. A journey. Hope your knees and hips work well and you don’t mind the exercise. Location is great, snack dab in the middle of everything you need. The staff at the bar were a bit sassy for my liking bc we’d have to ask for a cup of ice every day as there’s no fridge in the room. They limited us to one cup, not two as requested while it’s 35° out. How dare we. The breakfast is as basic as it gets and didn’t change in the 3 days we were there. Don’t get excited about it. Be warned:there’s also NO WIFI IN YOUR ROOM, only in the lobby and the terrace(which didn’t work, but the lobby wifi was fine). The door to the room is terrifying. Pretty sure I could pick the lock with dental floss if I had to. It’s a very old hotel, I get it, but the amount of inconveniences for the amount we paid is frustrating. I’ll take my business elsewhere next time.
