Blue Sea Luxury Villa

We have recently returned from the Blue Sea Luxury Villa in Maleme, Crete. It has to be one of the best / standout holiday villas we have ever stayed at. The host Chara is a truly wonderful lady who met us upon arrival and made sure we felt welcomed / knew the ins & outs of the villa and local area. The villa is exceptionally clean and very well furnished in a minimalist but timeless fashion. The grounds are equally pleasing being very well maintained (Palm Trees are just …wow). The private pool is the jewel in the crown - large enough to swim proper lengths or simply play with the kids. The views are truly majestic from the patio & bedroom, you can watch the sea and wildlife (the cheeky Hooded Crows being rather entertaining). It was rather hot when we visited and while the villa does have AC you only really need it in short bursts as Chara has upgraded the insulation so that it maintains a comfortable temperature most of the time. I have to mention Chara again, an absolutely lovely person & host who went out of her way to make sure we had a decent visit. Any queries were dealt with over WhatsApp and/or a quick in person visit. The area is quieter than the usual resorts but we liked this (no usual tourist knuckle draggers!). There are a couple of all-inclusive hotels nearby and apart from the evening entertainment (which was rather amusing at times) there is no noise disturbance. There are plenty of restaurants & bars nearby, all of which we had a decent time at, honourable mentions for The Black Lantern & The Maleme Taverna, seafood at both were excellent (Octopus outstanding!!) – the locally brewed beer Charma is delicious and consider visiting the brewery which is only 15-minute drive away, food also amazing. If you are looking at Crete / near Chania, you must at the very least put the Blue Sea Luxury Villa on your shortlist Thank you so much again Chara – I hope we get to meet you again

We planned a wonderful holiday in Crete, combining sightseeing and visits to some of the most beautiful beaches in the western part of the island. But what truly made our vacation special was our stay at Blue Sea Luxury Villa in Maleme. The villa is exceptionally comfortable, spacious, and beautifully combines elegance, style, and warmth. We wanted for nothing – every aspect of the villa had been carefully considered. Our wonderful host, Chara Tsoupaki, went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. From the bottle of chilled wine and delicious dakos to the beautiful books about Crete sightseeing and archaeology, every thoughtful touch reflected her genuine care and hospitality, providing nourishment for both body and soul. The time by the pool was simply magical – peaceful, relaxing, and filled with a wonderful atmosphere that we will remember for a long time. This was not just a place to stay, but a place where we created unforgettable memories. Thank you for your hospitality. We would be delighted to return!

Wir hatten eine fantastische Woche in der Blue Sea Luxury Villa. Die Lage ist traumhaft – nur wenige Schritte zum Strand, dennoch ruhig und privat. Die Villa ist makellos sauber, sehr gut ausgestattet (Pool, Klimaanlage, Waschmaschine, Geschirrspüler) und bietet alles für einen entspannten Urlaub. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die Gastgeberin Chara, die unglaublich herzlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit ist. Sie hat uns mit kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten willkommen geheißen und unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich gemacht. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt und haben einen wunderbaren Menschen kennengelernt, wir kommen gerne wieder. Uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen.

What a perfect stay in a beautiful villa owned by a charming host. The host couldn’t have been more helpful. The villa was one of the cleanest villas we have ever stayed in. The view of the sea from the main bedroom and the patio area was delightful. The location as this was our first time in Crete was perfect for us as it was very close to the beach, tavernas and areas for sightseeing. A more than adequate supermarket was close at hand for supplies. There was a flat 2 mile walk along the coast and a local bus which took 30 mins into Chania, a lovely town to wander in. . We found the food in the tavernas to be good value and very tasty. As it was September it was peaceful and plenty of loungers and parasols which were free available on the beach. The beachside road was quiet However if you like a pool the villa pool was large and had plenty of shade in which to lounge alongside.
