La Casa nel Borgo Antico

Hervorragende Lage, absolut ruhig, mit Blick auf das Stauferschloss, das ca. 10 Min. zu Fuß entfernt ist. Dort befindet sich eine ausgezeichnetes Museum und es finden Konzerte statt. Auch die Stadt Melfi selbst ist sehr schön, sauber und interessant. Bischofssitz mit normannischer Kathedrale von Roger II. Die alte Baustruktur wird sehr gepflegt. Kein PKW-Parkproblem. Ein gutes Frühstück gibt es im Kaffee vor dem Dom, ca. 150 m entfernt. Ganz außergewöhnlich gutes Essen, insbesondere hervorragendes Fleisch gibt es (zu normalen Preisen) im Restaurant "Pizzeria delle Rose" gleich nebenan, wo man freundlichst bedient wird und wo sich die Einheimischen treffen.

Breakfast is continental, packaged food, coffee and tea is capsules and bags. Rooms and bathrooms are large with good views over city center. Location in city historic center is wonderful if your car can navigate very narrow streets. Property is in a very old building entered by stairs on the left in first courtyard. Terrace has a great view and is in shade in evening and not too bright in morning.

Tell guests where they can park. 50 steps are wide and not difficult if one is in reasonable condition. More visible signage would help. Management needs to know when you will arrive because they are not on site.

Walls are very thin and you could hear other apartments flushing, showering, coming and going.
