The views were spectacular and would be hard to beat. Plenty of space for our family of 5 and the AC made sleeping very comfortable during a hot July visit. The parking situation worked out to be fantastic, despite not being clearly articulated during the booking. There is no parking possible in this location, but they have an arrangement with a local guy (Andrea) who serves as a valet. He is very responsive and pleasant. I would strongly suggest the property clarify how this works better and talk it up as a big value add. Once I got over the stress of not being clear how this all worked, it proved to be a positive experience that only made the stay more special.
Hard to complain, but I would highlight 2 things. First not having AC on the top floor seemed odd. We didn't sleep there, so it was OK, but it was the location of our 2nd bathroom. Secondly, the bedroom with 2 twin beds wasn't actually, it was both twins pushed together with one set of bedding to make one big bed. We adapted, but felt that could have been advertised clearer, given that we needed that extra bed.

The location was perfect. It was quiet and easy to get down to Amalfi by bus, which was just steps from the house. We shopped groceries in Amalfi and brought up by bus. Other option is to walk up many steps to local market. You will find what you need either way. The house is beautiful and spacious for a family. We enjoyed the balcony with its amazing view many evenings. Host is very helpful.

The property was clean. The bedrooms and bathrooms were nice. The beds are a little bit hard. The property itself is unique and has a beautiful view.
I felt like the listing was misleading. It said it was an easy walk to Amalfi. Not true. It probably would’ve taken us about an hour to walk to town maybe longer. The buses were unpredictable but if you got up and got on the first one, it was easy. We do wish that it would have encouraged us to do our grocery shopping before we went to the property so we would have been prepared.

The apartment has a terrace on the floor where the bedrooms are located. Stunning views of the Amalfi coast
The lower terrace is small, albeit it has stunning views. The apartment is bright and over 3 floors. A well equipped kitchen but no toaster. The upper terrace only has 2 sun beds despite the apartment sleeping 5 and once you sit down your view is obstructed by the wall which was really disappointing There are 85 steps from the apartment to the road, many more than we were aware of. It’s a real struggle at the end of your holiday getting your luggage back to the road. There is no supermarket unless you go into Amalfi, which is really inconvenient. The taxis are 30 euros minimum. The host should consider offering to source an initial shop for visitors. We couldn’t even make a coffee on arrival until we went into Amalfi for milk. We were aware the apartment was located just outside Amalfi which we liked because it was quieter, but the buses don’t always stop so at 30 euros, it can be expensive going into Amalfi and back. And the walk to Amalfi was described as taking 25 minutes but it’s more like 40. Luckily there was an amazing restaurant just a few minutes away, which we loved. Overall a nice apartment but some of the description could have been clearer and more honest. Not sure we would have booked this apartment had we known everything we know now.
