Absolutely stunning accommodation with the most lovely staff. Very pretty views right in the rice fields. Me and my partner stayed in February and we had the whole place to ourselves. We honestly had the most relaxing time and definitely would love to come back. The staff went above and beyond for us and treated us to any needs we had. We had a couples massage twice as well as a yoga session which were both incredible. The food for breakfast, lunch and dinner was amazing. Seriously can’t fault anything about this place.
10/10 We will be back !!!
Nothing !!

This awesome little eco resort was well worth the drive. The traditional klumpu accommodation was beautiful and what a surprise to wake up to the view of Gunung Agung in the foreground. So peaceful and the early morning sounds coming from the local temple just added to the experience. Breakfast was delicious and ice coffee sitting overlooking the small pond was a little magical. There are cute little villas on the pond but I think paying extra to have that view is a must!

The family suite is large and comfortable, enough space for four. It’s also beautifully designed.
Because of its location and depending on the season, it could be too quiet. My family of five made up the majority of the guests when we were there! There was only one couple besides us.
We all booked massages and learned that the spa was actually a room with glass doors that could fit two people. So five of us had to take turns, two at a time. There was no partition separating the two who were getting massages. It wasn’t an issue because we were a family, but what if we weren’t? I wouldn’t want to be getting a massage with a stranger lying on the bed next to mine.

Lovely place. Very peaceful. Beautiful rooms.
Some rooms leak when it rains. Difficult to move from room to other areas when it is raining. Mosquitos.

Very beautiful territory, big amazing Villa build in Bali style. It has a private pool and wonderful view at Rice Terrace. The staff is also nice.

Very friendly people, decent breakfast, nice surrounding area in the middle of nature
Not much apart from the fact that the stairs in the family room are a bit steep slippery and I fell down but that might be more my own clumsiness…

Beautiful little hotel complex in the middle of the rice terrace. Staff was very friendly. We also really enjoyed the restaurant where you could have some great meals with a nice view.

If you want to experience authentic Bali, go to this place! The staff is very kind, the cooking class was super fun, and we felt like this was the real Bali.

an exceptional hotel for those looking for peace, balance in a tasteful and perfectly reflecting the climate of the island surroundings. located quite a distance from shops, restaurants, etc., but this is its advantage for those who are looking for it. great, professional and very friendly service. good restaurant, although without a very long list of dishes, nice research and very good massages. we were most charmed by the cottages in which we slept, in a beautiful style, made of wood. for those looking for a peaceful rest and a break from the rush and hustle and bustle - ideal
Nothing. but we must remember about the distance from the commonly understood civilization

We LOVED De Klumpu and left a bit of our heart there.
First of all, the site is stunning: the view of mount aungung is breathtaking in the morning, the gardens are very well maintained and cleverly designed, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable, the staff is discrete, helpful and super friendly, the food is varied, generously served and delicious! We stayed there 5 days which can be a lot if you haven’t planned activities as the hotel is very remote but we loved every second there.
We were worried we’d feel very hot in the rooms as there is no ac but it was cool at night and we slept very well under the mosquito net, not many mosquitoes to report by the way, surprising as the place is full of water bodies but fish and geckos do their jobs well!
The pool is beautiful and quiet, we enjoyed it too. In the shadow in the heat of the afternoon which was nice to play card games and relax before dinner.
The Balinese massage was heavenly and the guided walking tour was informative, fun and authentic. We were lucky to attend the temple celebration in the neighbouring temple. The hotel arranged some of our transfers and we also had pickups from the cycling trip, rafting and Batur hike.
Walking around the hotel is fun if you want to experience authentic Bali but the road is narrow and there is traffic.
Our son has declared that he’d want to live there forever!

The room and the shower are very nice. The shower looks like a little water fall. Very unique.
There are many waterfalls around this area, so if you like waterfalls, this is the perfect place.
A bit too small..
The location is okay -to go there need to be careful when you drive a car as the road is small and hilly.

This was a small peak into traditional Balinese culture and we highly recommend. The Eco Stay was beautiful, and peaceful away from the city. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. I cannot recommend the cooking class enough! The best food we had our whole time in Bali!
Be aware that you are in the middle of the rice fields, so there are bugs, geikos, etc. and no AC (thus the eco stay) but it was a great place to unplug.

So pleased we decided to make the effort to come to this peace of paradise. We've been to Bali many times and have visited alot of the island, and this place is special. We loved walking around the area and there is surprisingly alot of different activities you can do in the area, even though it's feels so remote and rural. The resort is like beautiful, amasing 5 star service, delicious food, outstanding staff. Here you can experience a real peace of Bali in luxury. We will definitely be back.

Bali Style, surrounded by Rice fields, tropical forest, Beautiful, Peaceful, Sweet Staff, Clean, Bali as it was.
Food is ok, but could be better and bit bigger portions, especially since everything else is just first class.

We loved our two night stay; super quite surroundings in the midst of the nature. The food there was the best on our 10 day Bali tour. We did the 3 h guided tour which took us through the rice fields and the village, including a short visit at the local school and one of the silver smiths in town, finishing off with a visit to the stunning waterfall. Totally worthwhile doing!! We also booked the dinner cooking class, something I will always remember.
nothing really.

Lovely hut, scenery is nice and people lovely.
Dinner service was a bit slow even though it wasn't busy, but it was fine if you're chill.

We loved our stay! Beautiful houses and scenery, the staff was super friendly and the bike we rented was good.
Would have been a 10 if there were more vegetarian options at the restaurant!

the view in the morning, overlooking the rice fields 😍
to explore other restaurants you’d need a taxi/grab

the staff were genuinely friendly and accommodating. As I had to leave very early for a tour they even prepared a breakfast box for me so that I wouldn’t start my travel on an empty stomach.
everything was perfect

This place is perfect to relax and enjoy nature. The bungalow we stayed at was amazing, with an open air bathroom and the room view on the rice fields. The pool is great as well and the hotel arranged a yoga class and motorbike rental for us within seconds. Definitely recommend to someone who is looking for such type of experience. With a scooter you can go everywhere around, waterfalls, temples, rice fields etc
They could improve the food as the breakfast is à la carte and options are very limited. However if you don’t mind that, everything is amazing and the contact with nature is at another level

The location and view are nothing short of spectacular. We enjoyed the villa’s overlooking the rice terraces with Agung as backdrop. It doesn’t get any better. This is what Bali might have looked liked 30 or 40 years ago. We thoroughly enjoyed it and I hope this area between Bangli, Sideman and Klungkung keeps its authentic old school vibe. Without the tourist overload of Ubud.
The staff is amazing as well. All of them very attentive and proactive, and great restaurant food.
Actually nothing for us.
But if you enjoy restaurant choices overload of Ubud, then you will need to adapt to the area.

As a family of 4 (2 kids; 1 & 4) we were traveling from Gili Air to Ubud and were searching for an inbetween place to stay. And we found this hidden gem. 10 good reasons to stay here:
01. Splendid views as if your accomodation was dropped in a local rice field
02. It’s a small-sized resort; only you and the other guests and no other tourists within miles
03. Small resort with everything you need to make you feel comfortable
04. Familiy-friendly without it being a kids paradise, it’s still quiet and serene
05. The staff will attend to all your needs; they arranged a pick-up for us in Padangbai and created a tour of the area, fitting the baby’s schedule
06. It’s strategically situated for (half) day trips such as waterfalls and the Besakih temple
07. The restaurant serves excellent drinks and food; from a specialty burger to a mahi-mahi nasi goreng.
08. We had a very spacious family cottage, which not only looked great, but (again) had a magnificent view from inside and out on the large terrace.
09. The driver Komang that will driver you anywhere with a big smile
10. Did I mention ‘location, location, location’?
No negatives; it was everything we hoped it would be, and more.

The place is amazing. Very beautiful overlooking Mount Agung. The pool is nice and secluded. The room is cozy with balcony and garden/pond view. The bathroom is semi-open space. Kinda far from the city center so we usually eat dinner at the hotel restaurant - the food is great tho. The staffs are very helpful and welcoming. We went to hike Mt Agung in the midnight so they prepared us a breakfast box.
The mosquito net was dirty with gecko's poo.

The location was in the middle of a paddy field, quite lively and bucolic which we appreciated. The staff were very kind and observant. The meals were amazing, especially their fried banana desserts.
More halal food options for the breakfast menu would be good as there were a few options and more universal power plug points for charging devices(Australian version missing)

Cute place, nice gardens! We stayed on a cabin over a little lake, charming!
Our room (this cabin over the lake) have the upper part open, so a bit more mosquitos than usual here, but we put the net around the bed and it was ok.

it was so noisy they were doing lots of work around the place it gave me a headache

The place is absolutely beautiful, a perfect hide out if you are tired of busy Ubud. It is located in a quiet village and surrounded by tranquil rice fields. The view from the balcony is just priceless. But what really made my stay perfect is very friendly and nice staff. They really make an effort for you to have a good time and every situation was handled in a very professional way. Definitely would stay there again.

The excellence of the hotel is found in every aspect. It offers pure quality and elegance in an off the beaten path location. Staff went out of their way to make my stay the best ever and I sincerely hope that more people will find the way to this hidden gem.

Wonderful location, beautiful rooms, excellent staff! Highly recommended!

Overall very pleasant stay. The room was beautiful and had beautiful views. The staff was very friendly.
Not close to any restaurants or shops, so you have to eat at the hotel restaurant whose menu was very limited. They offer a lot of activities but very pricey compared to other places we've stayed. Hairdryer was really terrible.
