Heathside Lodges

Lodge was much more spacious than expected, very well furnished and decorated. Lodges were well laid out on order to give privacy to decking area with hot tub.

The roads getting to the park were very windy and narrow which in the dark and rain was not a nice experience.

Really quiet location, with nice walks and friendly staff. Accommodation was better than expected. Nice touches on arrival such as the towels, complimentary shampoo etc, robes and washing-up equipment. Hot tub regularly maintained and cleaned.

Some items weren't fully clean in the kitchen when we arrived and in the dishwasher. The tablet hadn't been released so wasn't clean but a minimal disruption. Some areas of the carpet were dusty and lots of cobwebs but again not a deal breaker. The value for money and lovely building and hot tub certainly made up for it.

Wonderful stay and we've been here 6 times now. Each lodge has been very well equipped, clean with wonderful surroundings. There's a nice nature trail for walks and the Donkeys are a joy to see. Karen is very welcoming and the shop onsite is very handy. We always take advantage of the Chinese takeaway leaflet in the room, they deliver straight to the lodge!
