Lovely staff and the food was good.
Not the most modern pub but ticked all the necessary boxes.
Beth was super !
A bit dated but we enjoyed our stay.
A boot room would have been useful but we did hire boot dryers which was fab.

Staff friendly. Comfortable room.
Better toiletries after a long day walking. Only a small sachet of shower gel not really good enough.
Lots of flies at breakfast which could have been rectified with some fly spray!

Staff were incredibly friendly and although we were late arriving the chef still prepared food for us. Very welcome after 16 miles. The dog even got a sausage treat for breakfast.

Good food, friendly service, great location for the C2C
rooms felt very tired, carpet was old and felt unclean
only 2 x sachets of shower soap provided
seats in dining area are stained
a separate check in desk would have be helpful and more welcoming
felt like the hotel is cutting costs and not keeping it updated
