A beautiful location in the hills south of Kandy, the hotel grounds are surrounded by tropical vegetation and amazing views. The A la Carte menu, although not massive, had enough tasty local dishes to keep us going for 9 nights. The Pool and Jacuzzi were a great place to relax during the day. The massages and treatments we had were all top notch. The Staff were all very friendly and the rooms kept clean.

The room we had was over the front entrance of the Hotel which we found it a little noisy from sunrise onwards. I don't think any other room would experience this. On quite a few occasions we experienced extended waits for food and general service requests - often having to ask repeatedly for simple things to be done. Not a huge problem in the scheme of things, but it became a bit frustrating (for me) during the stay. Note - The only alcohol served is Lion Beer so take anything you may need, otherwise Kandy is a 40 minute TukTuk ride (which was around £10 each way). The transfer time from Colombo Airport is between 4-5 hours, although its quite an entertaining journey!

This was the most relaxing place I have ever stayed at. The location is up in the mountains away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy. It’s so peaceful and quiet. Spacious & comfortable rooms, really tasty food, and friendly staff. The spa facilities on site were a really special treat. We were really glad we decided to stay here on our honeymoon. I’d recommend anyone who is travelling through Sri Lanka to stay here if you want to escape the busyness and need some respite!

Confusion about the payment made in advance

The location and views were beautiful. The Sri Lankan staff were lovely.

I wanted to share feedback on our recent stay], as we were quite disappointed with several aspects of our experience. 1. Reception & Communication: We found communication with the reception staff challenging, which made it difficult to get the assistance we needed. 2. Room Condition: While our room was spacious and had a beautiful view, it was noticeably worn. The safe did not work, wardrobe handles fell off, and poor bathroom drainage caused an unpleasant odor in the room. 30th. Dining Experience: On our first night, we inquired about dining options and were informed that, due to a buffet for a larger group, a separate meal might not be possible. We were offered the buffet at 6,000 Sri Lankan Rupees per person, which was significantly more expensive than the regular menu. This felt unfair and limited our dining choices. 4. Misleading Location Information: The property advertises itself as being 6.5 miles from the center, but in reality, it is 10 miles away. This discrepancy impacted our travel plans. 5. Ongoing Construction: We were not informed about construction work at the hotel. The noise from machinery disrupted our ability to relax on the balcony. We typically do not raise complaints, but given the number of issues, we felt compelled to share our disappointment. We also want to acknowledge the hard work of the Sri Lankan staff, who were doing their best despite these challenges.
