Beautifully designed, with a chic, considered look. The staff were attentive and made us feel welcome. The rooftop hot springs were the highlight and very relaxing. The food was excellent, a proper kaiseki experience, and the tea and complimentary ice cream were nice touches.
The room had a distinct smell that wasn't pleasant. Airing it out before check-in would help.

Lovely traditional, but modern Japanese hotel and spa. The rooftop bath was amazing and the Japanese dinner an breakfast extraordinary. The footpath along the river was like stepping in to a tale.

3世帯で行きました。大浴場も近くて綺麗で、貸し切り状態で、あまり人とすれ違わず、部屋もとても満足でした。
アップデートの案内ばかりされた気がします。サービスなのかと思ったら➕料金の案内ばかりで、断るのに気を使いました。そこが何より残念でした。結局ウナギの炊き込みご飯を頼みましたが、それを頼まなければ満足な量にはならなかったようです。しかし、料理は手間暇がかかったなかなか味わえない料理で美味しかったです。
