Superb Manorhaus stay (A little gem).

Great location, beautiful decor and check in really quick and simple. Free car parking pass included to park in a car park down the road. Gavin and Chris are great hosts. Gorgeously decorated, cosy and warm. Highly recommend staying in Ruthin and close to the castle too.

Not wheelchair accessible. I have an elderly parent and would struggle if I was to bring her as there is no parking it is quite a distance away. Only one biscuit pack to share per couple, we usually get one each in other places we have stayed, but we were happy to share and it was a lovely Welsh cup of tea.🍪

This was a real gem in a lovely town, and an under-rated part of Wales.

Excellent breakfast, helpful staff, imaginatively designed and comfortable rooms with good facilities, at the heart of an excellent and handsome town with good restaurants and interesting shops.

Was a little distance from car parking - but that was free with a permit from the hotel, and there was the option of unloading quickly from the street before parking.

A beautiful setting a beautiful comfortable, calm hotel with a lot to offer

Its interior is great and if you are interested in architecture and design the Bauhaus styling is excellent with a well stocked library

Rooms Larger Than They Look in the Photos!

Great location. The room was also larger than we expected even though it's described as "small". Very much appreciated the fan that was provided in the hot weather, and the complimentary tea and biscuits. Didn't get to try the food sadly as we were busy but the restaurant looked beautiful also.

The bed wasn't very comfortable (the mattress specifically wasn't firm) and there were some cobwebs but they were high-up in the room though so may have been hard to reach.

We had the suite and would have found it helpful to be able to keep a few items cold plus keep fresh milk for tea and coffee. The step up into the toilet and bath area would benefit from a little illumination at night.

Comfortable hotel in historic town

Very comfortable room with two nice easy chairs. Heater was very efficient and easy to operate. Cafetiere for making proper ground coffee was a bonus.

Could have had more choice of cereals for breakfast. A buffet with fresh fruit etc would have been good. Breakfast coffee would have been better in a cafetiere as we had in our room.

I'm personally not a massive fan of self chevk-in and also think 4pm is a little late. Didn't really see any staff and didn't bother ordering food as you had to do so 24hrs in advance via email. No menus in the room and felt they weren't interested in doing food.

Really good stay

Manorhaus is in a great location. We attended a wedding at Ruthin Castle. The castle is a 5 minute walk away so this was fantastic for us. The parking was brilliant. The long stay car park is literally 2 minutes walk away. The parking permit for free parking was also nice to have. Tea and coffee facilities in the room was really good and we appreciated the little extras in the room such as hair dryer, bathrobes, slippers and the shampoo and conditioner was of good quality.

Guest wifi service wasnt very stable. The room was slanted and whilst this adds character to the room it unfortunately made the bed uncomfortable.
