Lovely spacious rooms, elevator, clean, okay breakfast

Walking up the hill but it wasn’t far

Built as a railway hotel over a century ago, the building retains its grandeur with its elegant entrance hall, bar and restaurant. The rooms are large and airy with air conditioning for the hot weather. The staff are friendly and helpful, working hard to make sure that guests are well looked after. We arrived at the railway station on a very hot afternoon and it was lovely to walk the short distance to the hotel to be made to feel so welcome. We had dinner in the restaurant and this was a real treat. They clearly have a great chef and the service was very good from the hotel’s small but very dedicated team of staff. You could tell that everyone takes pride in this hotel. We will definitely be back next time we arrive in Cahors on the train.

The property could use some updating, but without major renovations, there are still some small things that could make it a more comfortable stay - for example, there was nowhere to put anything in the bathroom, no counter or shelf space. It had a beautiful old sink, and I understand that is why there is no counter, but there is space in the bathroom to include an alternative. Small, thoughtful, conveniences like this make a big different to guests! The hotel is well situated by the train station, making it very convenient. The room is bright and airy, fabulous windows, and had many positives. Some small adjustments would improve the experience for guests. Staff were helpful, friendly, and could not do more for me.

Lovely historic building but our bedroom was pretty basic. Public space pleasant but no one serving at the bar which made it seem s bit bleak. When we wanted to celebrate, all they managed was an already opened half bottle of champagne !

Just said A superb restaurant but only open a 7.30pm and not on Monday
