Vera Cruz Porto Downtown Hotel

Clean and organised Staff professional and courteous

First and foremost the staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly and kind. The house keepers work hard and are a credit to the hotel. The location is excellent in central Porto for all the main attractions within walking distance of metro and bus stations etc.

The only negatives were our room was at the back of the hotel which made our room dark resulting in the need for a light to be on continuously (not the end of the world as we were out most of the time 😄) The decor is dated but very clean. There's only 1 lift so you may que if you have breakfast which is on the 9th floor. We walked up the stairs most mornings from floor 3 (keeps you fit 💪). Pillows are a bit flat.

Awesome staff. Very comfortable room. We had a small balcony but no chairs out there. Excellent location and very walkable or else easy to jump on the metro. We'd definitely stay again.

We included the breakfast. It was just "ok." There are many coffee shops near there so we wouldn't do that part again. A good coffee machine would go a long way.

Location and cleanliness

Room was very dark with dark furniture. No view from the window as it was overlooked by two other rooms due to the building structure. Very claustrophobic.
