A magical medieval-themed stay with warm hosts, authentic décor, delicious local food, and an atmosphere that felt like

**BOOK DINNER** I wanted to experience a medieval stay as I’m a fan of Skyrim and medieval movies. This stay went beyond my expectations! If you’re a medieval fan, this is the place for you! We arrived around early evenings and were greeted by a lovely couple. The outdoor area looks like an inn straight out of a medieval film, and the inside is beautifully decorated with antiques and medieval mechanics. We booked dinner with medieval clothing, and we were informed that the food was local. It was so fresh and cooked to perfection. They played medieval melodies during dinner it was magical, like living in medieval times. It was raining and misty that night, and I actually cried because of how deeply the place moved me over dinner. A true medieval fan’s dream come true! The best part of the stay was the lovely couple who welcomed us with such warmth.

An immersive medieval experience

If you want to live for a little bit like you’re in the Middle Ages, this is the place! The place is sensitively decorated with antiques and evokes a bygone era. If you choose to stay for dinner, the hosts provide you with Medieval-inspired attire. The hosts are incredibly generous and kind, though only one speaks English, so if that’s your primary language, it would be helpful to brush up on you Italian (or even French). It’s an immersive experience, so no TVs or minibars in the rooms. That was a big positive for me but maybe not for everyone. There is a jacuzzi with a glorious view over the mountains!

Actually, the only negatives for me is that (even though I was warned), I couldn’t keep the bathroom shower from sending water into the room. Also, it’s a bit hard to find the first time. When you reach the church in Grande Villa, continue left on the road and it’s less than a minute on your right

Unique decor and ambience and the family run the business with amazing passion and energy. The food was incredible.

Living in such a medieval themed environment means some challenges like steep staircases and lack of comfortable seating areas outside.

This is no B&B or a hotel, this is an experiance! An exeptional welcome by the hosts. If you wanna live the life of a king or/and a queen, this is the place to be. Make sure to make reservations for dinner,the kitchen is excellent. Grazie Monica&Marco

Unforgettable and unique Middle Ages experience

This place is very special, one of the best experience ever done. The owners are amazing and extremely kind and professional, breakfast and dinner just great. A real journey in the Middle Ages! Special place and people. Lost in the Middle Age for 2 days.

It was a fantastic experience. A journey through time, lost in the Middle Ages. Marco and Monica are two very kind people and chatting with them and the other guests, wearing period clothes by candlelight was wonderful. We will definitely be back.

This place is magical, nothing but authenticity throughout. The proprietors attention to detail is second to none. L’ambiance médiévale très réaliste avec des objets d’époque, chinés par les propriétaires. Le repas du soir et le petit déjeuner étaient excellents et authentiques. Le jacuzzi dans une cave voutée ne gâche rien au tableau. Foncez.

Esperienza unica e indimenticabile

Soggiornare alla Confrérie du Moyen Âge è stata un'esperienza assolutamente unica e indimenticabile, che è andata anche oltre le nostre aspettative. Innanzitutto voglio menzionare l'accoglienza e il calore dei proprietari Marco, Monica e Giada, sempre sorridenti, a disposizione per qualsiasi necessità e prodighi di consigli di ogni genere. Appena si varca la soglia di casa si è veramente catapultati nel Medioevo, tutto è curato nei minimi dettagli, ogni mobile e oggetto sono pezzi unici di antiquariato e si sposano alla perfezione con il recupero fatto delle travi, dei pavimenti e delle mura della casa (che è veramente una casa del "400). Le stanze sono una più bella dell'altra, la sala da pranzo è uno spettacolo soprattutto quando la si trova apparecchiata per la cena medievale per la quale vengono forniti agli ospiti anche abiti medievali! Le ottime pietanze sono preparate dalla bravissima cuoca Monica. Anche la colazione è fantastica: dalle torte, biscotti e marmellate fatti in casa ai formaggi e salumi valdostani, dalle bevande calde alle spremute d'arancia e succhi di mele renette. Anche la posizione in cui si trova la casa aiuta a rendere ancora meglio l'atmosfera d'altri tempi: il piccolo villaggio di Grand Villa, a 1500 metri, un pugno di case immerse tra boschi e silenzio. Da lì si possono programmare tante attività negli splendidi dintorni (Cervino, Valtournenche, il borgo senza auto di Chamois, castello di Fenis, Aosta etc.) Torneremo sicuramente e lo consiglieremo a parenti e amici.

A ne pas manquer

La situation géographique, la beauté de la demeure magnifiquement restaurée. Le surprenant accueil et la découverte insolite des lieux. la gentillesse de nos hôtes en tenue du moyen âge. le diner (non compris) en habit d’époque était parfait et le petit déjeuner (compris dans la réservation) gargantuesque avec de délicieux produits locaux.

nous regrettons notre arrivée tardive qui nous a privé de la possibilité de profiter du bain nordique et du magnifique jacuzzi. Peut-être un peu plus d’éclairage pendant le diner ... mais nous étions dans une autre époque !

Vielen Dank für dieses Erlebniss, es war wirklich das Highlight unserer Reise. Der freundliche Empfang, das herliche Essen und das Frühstück das seines gleichen sucht. Man sieht die mit welcher Liebe das ganze Ambiente erstellt und geführt wird. Nochmals vielen Dank für alles an die nette Familie.

Magnifique structure impeccablement restructurée et décorée avec des antiquités. Belle ambiance au repas du soir où tous les hôtes mangent à la même table. Excellents repas traditionnels . Petit déjeuner abondant et avec beaucoup de produits locaux.

Un'esperienza indimenticabile!

Un'esperienza indimenticabile, credo di non avere mai detto così tante volte di seguito: "incredibile!" in vita mia. I proprietari ci hanno regalato un'accoglienza calorosa e ci hanno guidato in un vero e proprio viaggio nel tempo. La loro dedizione e l'amore per quello che fanno si percepisce in ogni angolo della casa. La nostra stanza curata in ogni dettaglio era grande e comoda. La cena va provata assolutamente perché le doti culinarie della padrona di casa sono davvero notevoli e tutto è fatto con prodotti genuini (alcuni di loro produzione). La colazione è superlativa e include ogni ben di Dio. Anche la sala idromassaggio merita una visita se siete in cerca di relax e ne hanno uno esterno con vista valle che purtroppo non abbiamo provato. L'unico aspetto negativo è stato passarci una notte sola! Grazie, torneremo sicuramente al nostro prossimo viaggio in Valle d'Aosta!

Veramente consigliatissimo per una full immersion nel mondo del medioevo

Cena particolare con una ricerca di ricette medioevali, rivisitate in chiave moderna. Ingredienti a km zero veramente buonissimi. Arredamento molto bello e particolare, con ricerca di mobili medioevali. I gestori poi sono veramente gentilissimi!

Un salto nel Medioevo

Il villaggio é stupendo e tutto perfettamente a tema medievale. I proprietari ti mettono subito a tuo agio e ti accolgono creando un clima magico. Il cibo è di ottima qualità, con prodotti casalinghi e locali, e la cena con tutti gli ospiti in abiti a tema é stata molto piacevole e divertente. Vengono proposte diverse attività a pagamento a seconda della stagione. Mi é piaciuto molto che ci abbiano fatto scegliere la camera dato che ne erano rimaste 3 libere. Torneremo sicuramente.
