Hotel Cadoro São Paulo

The staff are fantastic. The restaurant is excellent

There is a rooftop pool with beautiful views of the city all-around, especially wonderful at night. Entrance to the hotel is impressive, both inside and out, and there is a very good breakfast buffet. I was new to Sao Paulo but we found many interesting things to do nearby. For art lovers I can highly recommend Beco do Batman (a hipster art alley) and the Museum of Art of São Paulo Assis Chateaubriand. Restaurants are also plentiful. Great city to visit.

The hotel is well-kept in public areas but our room showed its age: worn carpet, bland decor. We were warned against walking in the neighborhood, although we made it to a local bar (and enjoyed the World Cup final with some locals) without incident or unease. Check-in was problematic. The Visa card I used for my cab ride and also later at the bar was declined, they did not accept American Express, and my debit card would not work either. My daughter had to pay for our rooms. In addition some of the waitstaff at breakfast were not too friendly, and ordering eggs or grilled breakfast sandwich took over 15 minutes to receive.

Comfortable beds, well- maintained facilities, good breakfast.

The location is good, but not great. There are not a lot of restaurants or nightlife activities in walking distance. Uber are quick to arrive and relatively inexpensive.

My room is spacious. There is a coffee maker as well as a water kettle in the room, which is excellent.

The nearby highway noises can be heard during days and nights; the furniture are old – especially the only chair in my room is sagging uncomfortably. Everything in the room costs money – no tea bags whatsoever.
