The views are truly spectacular- every morning I woke up to breathtaking mountains that photos just don’t do justice.
The cottage had everything needed for a comfortable self-service stay.
So much to do! Swimming pool, dam and scenic hiking trails are some of the highlights.
What makes this place extra special is the staff- so friendly, helpful and welcoming from the moment I arrived….going the extra mile of carrying my top-up wood to my cottage when my hands were full.
I also loved having the convenience of a shop right inside the reserve. You can pre-order wood etc and your order will be waiting for you at your cottage when you arrive 😄.
I can’t wait to return.

Pat Busch Mountain Reserve is nestled in a fynbos valley at the foothills of the Langeberg Mountains. We explored one of the hiking trails which was an awesome experience connecting with nature. Our cottage had a wood fired hot tub which was very relaxing after the hike. At night some deer can be spotted roaming.

The peaceful position of the cottage and views.
The spa bath was lovely until I tried to use it. The water from the tap and jets was awful - full of sand and slimy bits.
