Mar da Babilônia Hostel

Os anfitriões são extremamente educados. O hostel é muito limpo e de fácil acesso. Há sim escadas para chegar, mas não são muitas. Quem reclama dessa parte precisa praticar algum esporte. A vista é incrível e a localização é muito boa. Voltarei

Far from metro station and Uber don’t go up

Super local feel if that is what you are looking for, and nice view of the beach in the morning. Also the people in the community are really nice and helpful. There is AC in the room. I changed hostels before the end of the stay so I didn’t try the breakfast but it looked good. This is good if you are not really regarding in terms of cleanliness and are backpacking long term and you really want to experience the local life. The owners helped me locating the hostel even though they initially pointed me to another one nearby for some reason, which created a situation.

This is not a hostel but more of a poussada with a family living there. It is basically people’s home with one room with bunk beds (no curtains) and lockers. It felt like we were in their space, in case you are not confortable with that. Also you need to speak Portuguese or translate on your phone for communication. Accessibility is difficult you need a moto to get up every time and then there are stairs. The room had too many beds for that space in my opinion and it was not possible to sit on the lower bed given how close the upper bed was. Be prepared because I was not. If you don’t mind the above elements then you are all good.
