I will start with the positive. The apartment is in a wonderful location. It is an easy 10 - 20 minute walk to anywhere in San Sebastián that you want to go to. The neighborhood is full of friendly cafes and bars and has a nice grocery store a few blocks away. The queensize bed is new and comfortable.
The building is old and does have a lot of character, but the windows are original and have no soundproofing. The apartment is one floor off the street and in the front of the building. There is constant street noise from cars, motorbikes and people. Also, the apartment is dark and dated. It felt like visiting my grandmother. The bathroom is particularly old and worn and in need of a refresh. There is only one small towel bar that we couldn’t use because one end is not attached to the wall properly.
My husband and I loved San Sebastián and will be back.
