Hotel Pimar & Spa

The view from the bedroom, across the promenade and the beach and out to sea was spectacular. There were three chairs and a table on the little balcony from which to enjoy the view. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet, and had a fridge. There was a variety of continental choices on the breakfast buffet, pastries and fresh churros, plus bacon, sausages and beans. The evening meals were very special. The buffet had a huge selection of delicious little dishes for starters, trays of tasty main course dishes and a chef's grill. The rooftop pool and loungers, and the sea-view terrace outside the breakfast/bar-room were great assets. And there was a book-swap. Blanes is an attractive town; this was my third visit.

Only minor points. There was a 5 Euro charge for the safe (25 Euros for the week); there was no sun-lounger on the balcony, and the balcony was not totally screened from neighbouring balconies. The desserts were disappointing.

Rooms were very tiny. We were family of five , 2 adults and 3 kids. We got to rooms very far from each other. It was very strange , usually we are getting connected room, or if it's not posible beside each other. Staff was very rude when I was asking why ? They said hotel is full , take it or leave. We have paid in advance, so... also they asked me , how I made the bookinflg. I told - trough booking.com. after that they said- we can't help you, this is your problem😬🙄

Room was very small for family room of 4. My sister was also staying and she booked a single room and got a room with 4 beds where we go a room with 2 beds and a pull out couch! Seemed odd a family of 4 would get s smaller room than a single person.

Food in bar was poor. breakfast was better. More toiletries should be available in bathroom.
