This delightful Charentaise Country house, which is ideal for summer holiday rentals, overlooks open countryside, sunflower fields and vineyards. The 5 bedroom farmhouse,
totally renovated for holiday rentals, maintains a warm traditional feel with exposed beams, mellow stone walls and polished wooden floors. The holiday home offers great accommodation for couples, families or families sharing, sleeping up to 10 people plus a baby. The simply furnished bedrooms in a French country style overlook the walled garden and 10 x 4 heated swimming pool. There’s also a lazy spa for your enjoyment. The large fully equipped family size kitchen is perfect for recreating local French cuisine or early morning petit dejeneuer. The barn at the bottom of the garden is home to the pool table and table tennis table, badminton net, tennis rackets, boules, pool inflatables and inflatable canoe. The large open barn offers shade from the midday sun but is also convenient for evening dining. Enjoy your holiday at our french farmhouse in the Charente countryside.

Family retreat like no other we have stayed at. It has great garden, big bedrooms great games room with entertainment for all the family .can't wait to go back.
The owners have it set up and organised very well so the minute you walk in there's a manual for the house with local knowledge too of what is on where with directions. The pool is crystal clear and kept well.
Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for the quality quiet french get away

The property was beautiful, if a bit remote. The pictures were very accurate.
The plus side was the beautiful countryside surrounding the house and the lovely house itself.
The downside was that with 2 teenage girls and 2 twenty somethings it would have been better for them if there had been somewhere near that they could visit bars without driving to it.
The lack of working WiFi was also a major disappointment to the teenagers as their blackberries weren't enabled. If they could have used the computers we took with us, it would have been a lot better!
As a family we loved the evenings cooking barbecues, listening to music on the I pods and playing games.
The grounds were ideal for ball games. The neighbours were very understanding when balls went over the wall to next door.
The best experience was when the local mayor invited us to the local Bastille day celebrations in the village hall. We met some ex pats who were happy with their lives in the area.
Must see places were Cognac, where a jazz festival was on. Live Music in the town areas and an open air concert in the park. The distillery was an experience which all enjoyed.
The other place we loved was La Rochelle where we had a wonderful Seafood meal on the harbour front.
I would recommend the property for families with young children and couples on holiday in groups. Not so good for the offspring in the age grou of our family.

We were delighted with this french farmhouse on the edge of Barazieres. It was very clean and really well maintained and decorated..The outside barn was fab for eating outside in the shade, followed by a table tennis tornament or even a swim in the pool. The surrounding farmland of sunflower fields and vineyards were really lovely and could be enjoyed on a bike ride .Cognac was well worth the visit as was La Rochelle .But if you just wanted to stay at home there were plenty of sun loungers and also a really big garden for games of rounders. Overall this property was beautiful .I would reccommend this property to anyone who needs to unwind,
