Fine accommodation which totally suited our requirements. For a family of 4 it is quite expensive.

Location was ideal for our needs. Very clean and everything you need provided.

Quite expensive for accommodation which is the rear extension of owners home and not a stand alone cottage. Given the price little things like sheets on bunk beds being too old and needing replaced and the shower needing to be upgraded matter. These are just little things that would make it better if rectified.

Enclosed back garden, made it very private. The area is located in a lovely estate, all well kept, quiet ,and lovely local walks.The accommodation was large, had all necessary equipment. Kitchen stocked up,hoover, hair dryer etc .

A personal opinion, the shower unit could do with an upgrade (lower rubber seals) with a thorough clean of drainage unit . The bed linen was clean but feel it is now time to buy new linen as sheets felt rough .

Lovely stay

Our stay at Ivy Cottage was great, it is a great location, based in a quiet residential area with lovely walks nearby but only a short drive to local supermarkets and takeaways. The garden was secure which was great for our dog as she could have her run in the garden while we could sit outside with food and drinks. The house itself is well equipped with everything you would need for your stay. We have already booked to stay here again later in the summer.

Montrose work trip

The location was very handy for the supermarkets. Nice and clean big house with good cooking facilities.

The house is advertised as a 4 bed but the "sofa bed" in the living room was a big leather couch or a blow up bed. Having booked this for a working trip it wasnt very suitable since there were 4 people staying. I think the advertisement for 4 bed needs to be changed. The other 2 out of 3 rooms all have bunk beds aswell.

Overall our stay was very nice and the owner let us have a later check out which was much appreciated.

It was a comfortable large space for our one night for 2 persons. The kichenette was well equipped. It was clean and I like the separate bins provided. The TV is huge and we enjoyed our evening dinner and TV night:)

It was abit tricky locking the door as you have to lift the door handle to lock. There was tea and sugar, maybe a small milk provided would be good too as most places do. Otherwise there was nothing we didnt like.

The cottage and the host is excellent. Almost everything is perfect. The cottage is so tidy and lovely that I cannot but do most cleanup before leaving. It is a nice experience I have never had before.

WIFI speed should be faster. My phone switched to data automatically sometimes. The cottage can accommodate 7 people that the single bathroom with the only toilet will be a bit busy. The floor mop is short. I feel hard to use it.

Loved our stay at Ivy Cottage

A rare gem. I needed accommodation that was not only dog friendly but also accessible for someone with mobility issues and Ivy Cottage was able to deliver. The accommodation was exceptionally clean, furnished well, with everything you needed in the kitchen. The residential area meant it was quiet and offered plenty opportunities for dog walking. Having an enclosed private garden was a bonus and as we had good weather we enjoyed sitting out in it. Small retail park nearby to pick up essentials and only a short drive to Montrose beach.

Can’t find anything I didn’t like, I would definitely stay here again in the future.

There was no window in bedroom, just sliding doors so no option for air flow/breeze in the night. It was very warm weather when we stayed!

The host Michael kept me informed of all I needed to know and was extremely friendly and pleasant.

The cottage is in a great location - short walk/drive from beach and town with a good sized supermarket nearby. There was 6 adults, two teenagers and a dog in our group and we were all comfortable and had a great time. Facilities were great and we would definitely consider booking again!

Exceptional

We had an amazing time here. Ivy cottage is the perfect getaway being a very clean, comfy and spacious property. Just a short walk to a large park and duck pond and only couple minute drive from supermarkets pubs restaurants and beaches. Micheal was an absolute gentleman very friendly and did his upmost to make sure we had a great stay. Property has WiFi Netflix and a games console just incase of a rainy day and a large private garden to enjoy a sunny day which we were lucky enough to have. We only left today and are already looking into booking next year. Thank you for the great long weekend away.

An enjoyable stay with family after a long lockdown :)

Clean, comfy beds, plenty space, XBOX for grandchildren was a bonus. Garden area nice & drive for parking. Good location.

Thought cottage would be in a more rural area, its in a residential neighbourhood. Additional toiletries would have been useful e.g shower gel, toothpaste and a little more basic items for welcome pack e,g sugar , jam, bread, milk , as other self catering accommodations do. Fridge/freezer quite low down not good for those who have back issues .
