This home is tucked away among the trees just three miles south of Shaver Lake, a friendly community offering shops and a variety of cafes, restaurants, and bars including Shaver Lake Pizza, the Trading Post for fine dining, and the Shorthorn Bar & Grill. For summertime fun, the lake is only six miles away for watersports, fishing, and hiking. And when the snow is falling, pack up your skis and snowboards and hit the slopes at China Peak, just 22 miles northeast.
Perfect for a family or a few couples, this Shaver Lake vacation rental comes with free WiFi, three TVs, a warming gas fireplace, and a furnished deck complete with a gas grill where you can enjoy your meals with a view. Beautiful view! Bedrooms/Bathrooms were comfortable and well stocked. We had 3 days of solid rain, but it did not damper our days at all! Couple of things to note - the TV in the living room is not a "smart" TV, so no Netflix, Hulu, etc. My kiddos brought a Nintendo Switch so we watched Hulu through that. Direct TV is available. They also have a DVD player, with a limited selection of DVDs available, so bring your faves for a movie night! Kitchen was well stocked in terms of pots/pans/bowls/cups/etc. However, there were no "community pantry" type items (foil, ziplock bags, baking soda) so just be sure and pack those items if you need them. Ken's Market is about 7 mins away if you forget anything. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back for another stay!

After a bad stay at a cabin at Huntington this was a beautiful place and just what we needed! Everything was spotless and wonderful! This is our 3rd stay here and will definitely be back! It is very peaceful and we we love the pond with the ducks, and we feed the blue jays and squirrels peanuts from the deck!
Excellent vaca in the mountains. After losing a cabin at Huntington to the Creek Fire in 2020, my heart needs mountain therapy!

My daughter and I spent two weeks at this lovely cabin. The only problem was extremely poor response by Vacasa. Most vacation rentals you can contact the property owner - in this case it was a text, phone call or email to the office in Portland. We had a mouse infestation and I waited until 3:50 the following day to receive a box of sticky traps. Christian did offer to clean up, but I could not leave piles of mouse droppings in the kitchen and cleaned it with supplies that I borrowed and had to replace while I waited all day. The Vacasa office kept telling me that they would deal with it promptly and notify me when someone was on the way, but that never happened. I sent photos of mouse feces more than once. I would rent this cabin again, but not through Vacasa

Carpets in bedrooms discusting and stained
Deck needs work and paint
House looked very worn needs to be updated

Would not stay again
Toliet paper holder loose
Glass slider hard to lock and unlock
Shower heads gross and no water pressure
