very friendly and welcoming staff. room was clean and comfortable but very hot. i used the fan provided which helped. there was noise from the beer garden but this stopped at a reasonable time. there was a few bangs from other doors but during the night it was quiet. the en suite was suitable but sink very small. i didnt use the shower. there was lovely towels and robes provided. the breakfast (vegetarian full english) was delicious. tea and coffee with biscuits in the room.

The staff were very friendly and our room was great - clean and comfortable. Great location right in the town.
The only thing I would say is that our room was on the top floor and there were lots of stairs - which was fine for us but worth checking if you struggle with stairs.

The accommodation is well situated for the high street, with a large public car park just a few yards from the rear of the property. The pub is very attractively decorated with a pleasant courtyard area. Very pleasant staff.
The shower couldn't be turned off so was running through the night.
There was a heatwave when I visited so, though no fault of the hotel, the room was like a sauna. The fan provided was welcome but was so underpowered that it was useless.
The breakfast was fine apart from the vegetarian option sausages which were those horrible vegetable croquette things.
