About this villa rental
The Ganzeria is a new built villa on the hill of the old hunting lodge of the Marquis of Ganzeria. The luxury villa enjoys an incomparable view on the south coast of Sicily, from the lighthouse at Cape Blanco to Punta Secca of Agrigento is a view of over 100 km of coastline.
The Ganzeria is located in Santa Croce Camerina in the province of Ragusa on the southern coast of Sicily facing the sea in Africa
The Villa is located in the centre of an estate of over 10 acres completely fenced and equipped, in the most picturesque setting of the Sicilian countryside between carob trees, dry stone walls and typical Mediterranean herbs. It is equipped with a private pool, large open spaces, private garden with lawn equipped with BBQ and games for children.
But it is inside the villa is shown in its magnificence, with 6 bedrooms all with private bath, and an extraordinary exhibition of over 120 square meters open to the bright and breathtaking views.
The heart of the villa is the large living room with kitchen and dining area, two areas of rest and reading and a large pool table. Outside under the covered porch you will find a large kitchen to prepare your meals and conveniently used as a dining area in a cool but sheltered.
Another outdoor lounge you can relax al fresco while enjoying the sunset view over the sea of Sicily in front of you.
The bedrooms are six and all are made with the intent to recreate the natural elements of our land, 'Water', 'Air', 'Earth,' 'Fire', 'Wood' and 'Stone'.
All rooms are equipped with private bathroom 'en suite', a private air-conditioned and furnished with style and comfort.
The pool of 12 * 6 meters is facing south and the splendid panorama of the aromas of the herbs are added around the garden. the pool is heated.
The estate in addition to the various paths that wind around the plants typical of the area, you will find a tennis court and some shaded areas for your book or slightly comfortably sip a glass of wine.
The sea is 3 km and the centre of the village with all services at less than 1 km.

Fantastic holiday with family. A lovely spacious and clean property that catered for all our needs. It does need a little updating, particularly the bedrooms but nonetheless we had no issues with the villa and throughly enjoyed our stay there. It was very close distance to the marina which we loved and not far from Ragusa, which we also visited for the day and was beautiful. We booked the chef for an evening and the food was delicious so thank you. Finally, thank you to the hosts, the communication was excellent and always very helpful.

This is a good villa in a quiet location away from the main tourist areas.
Pros:
- communication and knowledge of owners: recommended restaurants and sites to visit.
- outstanding views from the Villa
- the sunsets!
- local sandy beaches within 10 min drive
- quiet location
- great local restaurants (favourite was Sabor)
- responsive of owners to respond to issues (we had some issues with the drains)
- outdoor areas and lovely, large pool.

Cons
- No footpaths or local walks so a car is definitely needed.
- main Sicilian tourist sites (Mount Etna, Valley of the Temples etc.) over 2 hour drive away.
- The photographs of the Villa were taken over ten years ago and the Villa has not been updated since. Bedroom floors, furniture and decor is looking tired and in need of replacement. We found the beds and furniture uncomfortable. Few mugs and glasses in an otherwise fairly well stocked kitchen.
- The outdoor areas are westerly facing, so once the sun drops lower in the sky the high temperatures mean that it is almost unbearable to sit under them and enjoy an evening meal. We ended up eating inside most nights. Some shade curtains would be useful.
Overall we had a great holiday on Sciliy, thanks to the Villa and its owners. It was very hot (over 35c every day) which affected what we did. One disappointment about the whole island was the fact that local residents use roads and lay-bys to dump rubbish.

The villa was beautiful. We arrived in 4 different vehicles from the airport. Only 2 of us found the villa as it has no physical address. Once found all was good. Perhaps a sign at the road to assist in finding the villa.
The large outdoor table was our home for the 2 weeks and the pool for cooling off and the magnificent sunsets.
We had arranged to have a chef for a number of meals, he was fabulous and we always had leftovers for the next day.
Any questions we had were quickly addressed.
I would recommend for family vacations.

We enjoyed a week with our family. All together 11 persons. The house ar spaceous and all of the 6 bedrooms have ensuite bathroom. Clean and tidy. Very Nice and helpful host.
