Lovely very well furnished house . Great garden and wonderful views all in the nature . Domenico is a great guy and we were very well looked after with fresh tomatoes and other produce from his garden . Great place

Casa Stella is one of the most wonderful places that we have stayed in. It is a pleasure - large, well-appointed rooms with a lovely garden and stunning views of the countryside. The large main bedroom and the living room have french doors on both sides. The kitchen is large and many a lovely meal was prepared there and enjoyed mostly outdoors on a table under the shady veranda. The generously sized swimming pool was perfect for cooling off in a very tranquil setting. If it’s peace and quiet you are looking for – perfetto!
What made our stay even more special was the welcome from Domenico and his family. We were greeted by wine, eggs, and delicious tomatoes from the family’s produce. Unfortunately our Italian is limited, but that did not stop us communicating and Domenico and family were always very helpful, guiding us to places to see and even booking a restaurant table for us.
There is a lot to see within an hour or so’s drive from the property. Perugia, Città di Castello, Assisi, Deruta (for ceramics), Gubbio, Castiglione del Lago and Cortona are all worth a visit. The countryside around Lake Trasimeno provides a contrast to the more hilly areas near the villa. And special mention should be made of the beautifully preserved village of Montone with its splendid views over the Tiber valley.
We have brought home some very special memories of our holiday in Umbria. Grazie Domenico e tutta la famiglia per averci fatto sentire i benvenuti a casa vostra.

We just returned from the most wonderful, relaxing, tranquil vacation at this beautiful house! It is our second stay here and we hope to make it annual! The garden is just gorgeous, the house is perfectly maintained, the swimming pool is glorious and the view is incredible! There are wonderful characteristic towns nearby and the local produce is inspired! Though the best time we spent was just hanging around together at this lovely house!! The family which runs the house does so with dedication and love and it was an incredibly relaxing vacation all around we can’t wait until next year!!

The property is exactly as shown, wonderfully situated with great views all around. The villa is airy, light and very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and a lovely shaded patio with table and chairs for al fresco dining. The pool is beautifully situated with deck chairs, loungers and sunshade provided. Dominico cleans up outside every day and also gave us eggs, wine and vegetables, all home grown. The family made us most welcome. Surrounding hill towns of Cortona, Gubio and Montone are all within an easy drive. Great week, excellent villa, hope to go back again.
