A beautiful peaceful spot.

El Arpa is perfectly placed in the centre of a very scenic part of Andalusia. Our room which overlooked the lake was beautifully decorated by our hosts and the patio is filled with plants. During our stay we walked the Caminito del Rey and visited Antequera and the magnificent Torcal de Antequera. We enjoyed being surrounded by beautiful countryside.

The apartment was clean, had everything needed, the view was incredible, the owner was communicative, and there were a lot of places to visit around.

Paradise found!

Location is just superb, it has a very 'out in the wilds' feel to it and the view of the lake is just beautiful. Car is definitely needed as it is very remote. The finca itself is beautiful, it has a stunning garden area with various sunbeds etc. This is a place for peace and quiet - please never change this! Kayak hire is available about 2km down the road from a lovely man, excellently priced too.

It was 41° for a few days when we were there. The ceiling fan did very little to help. But, they are not in control of the weather

Lovely place to enjoy nature.

Balcony table seating with beautiful view. Well stocked honesty shop with all the essentials. Great shower. Surrounded by nature. Parking bays, neatly laid out using logs, were kept a short distance away from the accommodation allowing us to enjoy the natural environment without intrusive car noise.

We appreciate the property being off grid but we missed having a hair dryer and some overnight heating. March nights are a little chilly.

Great place to enjoy nature

The spot is really quiet, in the middle of a natural park, great to disconnect. The view from the balcony is just a dream to wake up to or just chill at night. Great communication and information from the owners on local activities and nice to have a little shop on site in case we forgot something. The owners were super respectful and welcoming. loved the little welcome note. The bed was super comfortable. Also really appreciated the fact that there were all essentials already in the place such as salt, dishsoap, coffee as well as towels and linens. All appliances/dishes you to cook. Great feeling to know that it is a sustainable place powered by solar energy. Nice common areas in the garden to relax. Great place to go on hikes and discover that part of Andalucia. Loved to be able to dip in the lake and just enjoy the surroundings right from your doorstep. It's just a 15 min drive from caminito del rey. the next supermarket is 40 min away though, so do go shopping in Campillos before getting there!

I didn't realize that there were 6 apartments in that finca, three upstairs with the view and 3 downstairs with direct access to the garden. So it is not as intimate as I thought especially if you are on your balcony as you might hear/see your other neighbor but once you are in your apartment it is quiet. Obviously most people are respectful but I didn't quite expect it to be this busy. However it is true that apart from that the finca has no neighboring houses, so it does feel very quiet. the fact that we had to carry the kayak down and back up, would be nice to have it made a bit easier, but was nice to have the possibility to use it right there instead of driving somewhere else.

The scenery was incredible and it was amazing to get away from the bright city lights to a gorgeous remote place. The owners were so friendly and accommodating.

The best place, very quiet!

If you like silence, not a super luxurious stay, a great place to relax and beautiful nature all around you, this is the place to be. The owners are super nice. We had a little problem with some warm water and they did all they can to fix it asap. I would highly recommend this place. And the views over there. Oh my! I miss it already!

The beds and pillows are too soft. But that's a personal preference.

The proximity to the lakes, just a shame you were unable to get into the water to swim through the mud.

The fact that there was no oven or microwave to prepare a meal. Even a small portable bbq on the balcony might have been helpful.

Location, location, location! Staff were excellent. Small pantry style shop on site a nice addition in a pinch.

Wifi didn't really work for us, but who needs wifi in a place like that?! Beds were too soft but that's personal preference. Lack of hand soap.

Un séjour au calme, au cœur de la nature

Superbe vue sur le lac, cadre paisible et dépaysant, à deux pas du Caminito del Rey, des sentiers de randonnée et des baignades dans les lacs. L’appartement est bien équipé et la terrasse offre un panorama magnifique. Les hôtes sont très sympathiques et font en sorte que vous vous sentiez bien.

En période de canicule, une petite clim, juste pendant la nuit, serait idéale même si je suis favorable à la low energy.
