A wonderful stop on my motorcycle tour through Europe.

What a wonderful place to stay. Very inviting staff. Helpful and kind. Beautiful hotel.

This place was quite a stop at the base of the Grossglockner pass. I was traveling via motorbike so hearing the hundreds and hundreds of bikes passing by through my stay was fun

Exceptional

Charming old-fashion post hotel with nice garden to enjoy dinner. Large and clean room with massive wooden furniture, obviously old, but in harmony with all of the building. Good restaurant, delicious food, good breakfast. Near the main road to Grossglockner but still quiet, the only sound is from the river flowing near the hotel. I liked it very much it gave me the feeling like it's 100 years ago

No elevator in the building so it may be challenging for disabled or tired people

Low value for money

Great location, right at the end point of the 2nd stage of Alpe Adria trail. Nice outside area for dinner.

Old building, old style, no renovation in a long time. Had to wait long time so that water starts to warm up in the shower, no window in the bathroom or any other way to change air in it. Bed materasse not comfortable being too soft. Wellness available only in winter which was quite a disappointment as we arrived after two days spent with hiking and were hoping to relax a bit in the sauna.

Wir waren 5 Personen und hatten gut Platz.

Die Küche Ausstattung ist praktisch nicht vorhanden, war aber auch nicht angegeben. Wir kochten nur Tee.

Magnifique gîte

Très rustique et beaucoup d’histoire au travers les agrandissements et rénovations. Accueil chaleureux et excellents repas du soir en plus d’un très bon déjeuner. Transit d’une nuitée parfaite.

Wunderschönes Hotel mit Flair.

Ein sehr uriges Ambiente, dass an die frühe Zeit des Passes erinnert. Hervorragende Speisen. Überaus nette Chefin. Die Zimmer sind super sauber. Vermitteln immer noch den Flair der alten Zeit. Das Bad ist aber ein Traum. Riesige Dusche mit Regenkopf. Viel Platz um nicht ständig anzustoßen. Das Frühstück abwechslungsreich und gut ausgestattet. Da wird sicher jeder Geschmack fündig.

Es läuft leider ständig eine ganz leise Entspannungsmusik. Die ist mir tatsächlich auf den Zeiger gegangen. Das war aber wirklich das Einzige, was zu sagen wäre.

Di passaggio verso il Grossklokner abbiamo trovato il posto ideale per fermarci a dormire. Hotel dallo stile antico con camera e bagno spaziosi. Buona anche l'offerta per cena. Consigliato!

Ci siamo fermati solo per una notte, e siamo stati molto sorpresi dalla struttura. Tipico albergo austriaco molto caratteristico. La dimensione della camera con soggiorno annesso è veramente grande. Abbiamo utilizzato la zona benessere ed è più che discreta. Buona e abbondante la colazione compresa. Abbiamo cenato in giardino cibo di qualità a prezzi giusti.

Très bel établissement, on nous avait placé dans une suite très confortable (nous avions réservé une simple chambre), le dîner dans le patio était très agréable

Si può migliorare

La struttura è storica, molto ben tenuta, c'è anche un giardino dove poter stare in relax ed un angolo giochi per bambini. Molto silenzioso, un oasi di pace.

La stanza era un mini appartamento, appena si entra, a sinistra c'è il bagno, nella stanza si sviluppa un angolo cottura a destra, poco più avanti un divanetto ed un tavolo, poi ci sono delle scale che salendo, portano alla camera da letto, purtroppo le scale sono molto ripide e scivolose, la notte mi son dovuto alzare per andare al bagno e tutto assonnato, quasi mi ammazzo cadendo dalle scale. Non ho capito bene perché ma, il ristorante era chiuso, ci hanno indirizzati ad un altro loro ristorante lì vicino, un'edificio storico trasformato in ristorante/museo, ad 1,1 km di distanza, vicino direte voi, ma fate il percorso a bordo strada, sulla statale senza marciapiedi con le macchine che sfrecciano a 100 km/h. Per fortuna abbiamo mangiato abbastanza bene.

Kurzer lohnenswerter Stopp

Letztlich die Lage des Hauses auf der Durchreise Richtung Großglocknerstrasse. Besonders hervorragend die Freundlichkeit des Personals, das reisst doch immer wieder alles heraus. Sehr zu empfehlen. Würde allein deswegen wiederkommen. Reichhaltiges Frühstück - alles was man(n) braucht! Tolles Wiener Schnitzel auf der Karte , auch mit Petersilienkartoffeln, die es in Deutschland leider nicht gibt! Noch ein Grund wieder zu kommen!!!

Gemütlicher Gastgarten, ausgezeichnete Küche, gutes Frühstück, nettes Personal, tolles Ambiente, einfach stimmig. Sehr zu empfehlen.
