Private House with Pool, 2 Mins walk to Beach/Restaurants, Hanging Bed +6 Bikes

Laguna Azul is as advertised. Perfect location, clean and well equipped. The bikes are a bonus!Definitely coming back for anouther visit.

My sister and I had a wonderful time staying at Casa Laguna Azul in Puerto Morelos. The house has easy access to the beach and to Unico Beach Club which has inexpensive chairs/palapas to rent, a great menu and also a reasonably priced massage center (my massage therapist Mariana was great.) The neighborhood is quiet, but is not far from many great restaurants down the street and on the parallel street - Niños Heroes. When we arrived, we had some problems getting in. The property manager wasn’t there, the key wasn’t in one of the lockboxes and the code to the second lockbox was wrong. Also, the wifi and password were wrong so we had to go across the street and ask a hotel staff member to call the host. Hopefully, the info re the lockbox and wifi will be changed soon on VRBO. I recommend specifically asking the host to ask the property manager to be there at a specific time or ask for the current lockbox code, and wifi password beforehand. That being said, we still really enjoyed our stay and loved the location, pool, comfortable beds, patio area, etc. enough to give it a 10/10.

Getting away after the holidays and a change of scenery is just what we all needed. This place was perfect. The outside property is gorgeous. Beautifull plantings are throughout. The pool is very pretty, with great lighting and nice tile. It is not heated, which I think is common in the area, and probably unnecessary in the warmer summer months,, however too cool for us in January. There is a maintenance gentlemen who comes daily and is extremely helpful. There are bikes to use which we couldn’t have done without. The inside is well designed and appointed. We had everything we needed to cook meals, the beds were so comfortable, and it was cool enough each night to sleep comfortably . Having an in unit washer and dryer really helped us pack light. Tracey the owner was very responsive leading up to our trip AND when we were there. Thank you so much Tracey for all the recommendations and info.The town, according to owner, was on the quieter side due to the pandemic. However, the lovely locals, white sand, blue water and laid back vibe were all still present in abundance, as well as better Covid safety measures of anywhere in the states. I love that you can still walk around and see some local people and feel like you’re in a true Mexican village. The restaurants were some of the very best we’ve eaten at. This place was 2 blocks from the beach and a 15 min walk or a 5 min bike ride to the town center. We spent 10 days here. The ages of my sons ranged from 20-12 yo and we always found something to do or not do, depending on our mood. We could have all stayed longer and we will be back. It was a great trip, great location and WONDERFUL home. Thank you Tracey for sharing❤️❤️❤️
